Last in the Series: Lucky 13 Aries New Moon Amidst a Huge Aries Stellium and a Mars-Uranus Conjunction
Mars shifts into its domicile, the sign it rules, just in time for the April 3 Aries New Moon. At that time, six planets will be in Aries, and they all get a super-charged boost forward from Mars in its own sign of unadulterated masculine will and outer expression. Things really start to move now for good or ill.
This area is a zodiac hot spot, to put it mildly. Recall that the earthquake and tsunami were triggered in Japan as Uranus transited the final minutes of 29 Pisces with the nuclear crisis unfolding as it ingressed Aries. This is prime "new paradigm emerging from old" energetic symbolism, and it is being used by those ramming (Aries) their particular global agenda through.
The "surprise" bombing of Libya was scheduled for the March 20, 2011 equinox as the Sun conjuncted Uranus newly in Aries - just as the invasion of Iraq was scheduled for this date after the Uranus ingress of Pisces exactly eight years prior (March 20, 2003). Uranus relates to the unpredictable - except when its energy and transits are being utilized to set off pre-planned global events.
(Fun facts: Libya has the largest known oil reserves in Africa. BP announced its plan to start drilling off Libya's coast in July of 2010, a matter of months after the Gulf disaster began. Archaeologists say BP's drilling has a strong possibility of destroying ancient lost city sites buried beneath the ocean off Libya's coast, as well as ancient city sites on land along the coast should there be an oil spill. This indicates, again, that the broader objectives involve more than just drilling for oil. The underwater sites, like the Gulf of Mexico, have potential "Atlantean" connections, which have also been tied to the Aryan race.)
This Mars-Uranus conjunction has some pretty potent recent history infused into it. The conjunction is exact April 3 just after the New Moon in Aries as we crack into new territory coming out of the entire series of 13th degree New Moons. Amidst a huge Aries stellium of the Sun, Moon, Mercury Rx, Mars, Jupiter and Uranus, this is viciously potent.
The Mars-Uranus conjunction brings the planet of war, aggression, will, drive and new directions together at the zodiac birth point with a planet associated with uranium and sudden, shocking events and upheaval. Unexpected nuclear attacks brought through the sea (29 Pisces). Unfortunately, we've entered a new cycle of illegal, imperialist warfare on this planet - one cyclically and symbolically linked to past attacks against humanity. Ancient wars create symbolic blueprints for current wars.
Please be careful over the next two weeks as we head to the Mars in Aries square to just-stationed-retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, exact April 11 at 3:41 p.m.
Mars is acted upon by both Uranus and Pluto between now and then, and this is unstable, aggressive energy often coming out of nowhere. When things get tense, choose the path of least competition/aggression in yourself. Watch for and avoid unexpected anger and aggressive moves from others, especially in men who are full-to-the-brim with the masculine/yang/testosterone-fuelled and are waiting for some event to boil their frustrations over. People are being pushed past their breaking points.
Accidents due to anger, recklessness or lack of due attention are probable under these astro conditions. Be socially responsible (Saturn in Libra) and diffuse what you can. Balance the social scales where you can. But when things get too hot, step out of the line of fire. Breathe. Disengage. When Pluto is involved, we have to be careful not to be pulled into the sticky, magnetic dramas that play on our trigger points. These are broad, collective energies and themes steamrolling forward with agendas of their own with a whole lot of energy driving into new frontiers.
There is definite differentiation and factioning going on on raw, fundamental levels as we shift into a strong Arien/Aquarian overlay - on personal, societal and global fronts. All is not well in the ranks as splintering agendas jockey for position and control. Old social contracts and alliances go up in Arien flames.
By the time Mars squares Pluto April 11, we should have more news about the possible release of plutonium (Pluto), the deadliest known substance on the planet and very difficult to detect, from Japanese reactors as well as the possible release of mixed oxide fuel (MOX), a combination of uranium and plutonium, from Fukushima reactor 3.
This Aries New Moon/Mars-Uranus conjunction is a symbol for the emergence into radically new personal territory, especially for women. If we've worked this series of New and Full Moons right, some exhausting and enmeshing tail-end Piscean era dynamics have been completed. Long-standing charges have been put to rest and we are emotionally borne into something new.
The emergence at this New Moon involves moving out of past social and emotional conditioning - "being nice" instead of being real, being socially popular instead of being true to who we really are - and drawing on a newly accessible emotional fire, strength and courage. To be successful moving forward, women, especially, will be taking charge of and taking responsibility for their own self-direction and masculine energy rather than sitting by and letting men do it for them. (That's turned out just great, hasn't it?) There is a special emphasis with all this Aries on anger impulses and using them as an impetus to action.
With the Sagittarius North Node disposited by Jupiter in Aries until June, our Aries muscles and instincts play a big role in the broader guiding philosophical force opening vast new arenas in our lives. These themes become huge May 1-15 as the Aries stellium trines the Sagittarius North Node. Be true to yourself come what may now in order to benefit fully from the movement indicated by those trines then.
The Moon crosses the same 29 Pisces/0 Aries hot spot early Saturday morning as it grows dark. The New Moon is exact at 13 degrees Aries April 3 at 9:32 a.m. It is the last in the series of six "thirteenth witch" New Moons at 13 degrees of the signs amidst a series of five anaretic degree Full Moons. I relate these New Moons to the emergence of hidden and denied feminine realities and influence, especially the denied realities of the thirteenth witch - the one who busts it wide open.
The first 13th degree New Moon was in Scorpio during the Venus in Scorpio retrograde, just after All Hallow's Eve. This infused the lunar series with the thirteenth witch vibe - from which we begin to emerge now. We complete the dynamics fully at the June 2012 Venus Transit in Gemini when that Venus retrograde discharges the themes of the fall 2010 Venus in Scorpio retro.
The idea of the thirteenth witch involves some witch's coven lore:
"From what I understand, covens could usually be sustained and kept cloaked and protected from the torch-wielding townsfolk up until the 12th member. But once the 13th member was added, there was a shift. The energy was unable to be contained at that point. Things dug a little too deep and triggered a little too much and became unmanageable. The bad blood would start to run, jealousy would rise, there would be political in-fighting and jockeying for power and position, dirty allegiances and back-stabbing. Basically, the coven members would start to get into some serious brass tacks - all the dormant poison would rise to the surface. It was as if a tipping point were reached with the 13th witch, and something would happen to bust up the coven, generally bringing it under fire from the mainstream society. Often, it was an angry member who had been screwed over and felt slighted who would rat the coven out.
Energetic violations and abuses that had long simmered beneath the surface were busted wide open and aired, brought to task, by the addition of the thirteenth witch."
The series of 13th degree New Moons has created openings for the inclusion and integration of hidden feminine realities that have long influenced our lives and the unfolding of events on the world stage. Keeping these things hidden and unaddressed has caused disruption, disturbance and devastation, and nothing can truly heal or change until they are brought into the fold. As always, these energies are wide open for co-opting and for being used to further the same-old, same-old. Tend them carefully in your own lives and selves.
We've had six months of potent lunar activity - don't let the supposed SuperMoon in Virgo at lunar perigee take all the credit. With the thirteenth witch themes, I would be looking much more strongly toward the influence of Black Moon Lilith at lunar apogee!
As I wrote about recently, the 2009 Venus retrograde in Aries themes are potent now and for the next six weeks as Jupiter and the personal planets in Aries oppose Saturn in Libra. A big theme during that retrograde was relationships that could no longer contain who we really were spontaneously combusting - even long-term ones. This New Moon happens conjunct Jupiter in Aries and opposite Saturn in Libra. If relationships and relationship dynamics didn't fully move into new territory at that time, expect things to pick up where they left off.
With the influence of the North Node in Sagittarius disposited by Jupiter in Aries opposite Saturn in Libra, people are figuring out what they really believe in relation to other people. This is going to mean they exit stage left from certain relationships, possibly in dramatic fashion, in a lot of cases. No harm, no foul in most cases. There isn't much arguing with this energy, and this has a freeing, energizing effect over the long run.
At the same time, new directions mean no longer taking the old directions, and that is starting to hit home emotionally in a big way as people say goodbye to a lot of what they identified themselves with previously, including relationships.
These themes continue as we head into another summer of big tensions, disturbances and necessary new leadership and directions with a full Cardinal Grand Cross configuration as well as a triple eclipse season. More on that later...

Lucky 13 New Moon in Pisces
There are six bodies in Pisces right now - Chiron, Mars, the Moon, the Sun, Mercury and Uranus - and folks, plain and simple, that's just too much Pisces. The dark moon in this sign has had a nasty emotional undertow, easily sucking us under and into the abyss if we have not been careful.
Luckily, the first light cracks this afternoon at 2:46 p.m. Central as we experience the fifth in a series of six thirteenth degree New Moons. The denied feminine realities of the thirteenth witch come bobbing up to the surface. These ones relate to the hidden spiritual realities, especially of suppressed feminine knowledge and power, bound, gagged and imprisoned within the masculine-dominated spiritual hierarchies, belief structure traditions and lineages.
We're busting out.
The North Node has slid just inside Sagittarius territory to the 29th degree as we begin carving out our soul-directed tracks according to what WE really believe and know.
This isn't your standard, classist ivory tower religion and philosophy. That's not real Sagittarius, anyway. This is real higher education, based in the experience and knowledge that rings through our every cell, collected through the totality of rich, human experience on this planet. This is our candle in the window, the faith that sustains and guides us through the worst storms. Where we are now.
As the North Node shifted from Capricorn to Sagittarius March 3 for an 18-month stay, the heavenly body key to our successful navigation, called the dispositor, shifted from Saturn (constriction, restriction, challenges, delays, maturation, tests) to Jupiter (expansion, inspiration, broadening horizons, quest for freedom, grace).
Until June 4 when it enters Taurus, our Sagittarian path forward is coloured deeply by Jupiter's transit of Aries (self, will, action), just coming out of its final square to Pluto in Capricorn.
This isn't your standard following of a laid-out belief system. This is raw, this is primal, this is based in deep-down survival - of the soul, of the identity, of the physical self - in the face of forces that actively seek to snuff them out.
This is leaving the controlled and controlling hierarchical belief structures on their asses and going our own way.
"Always, there will be an impetus on reframing and transforming belief systems, making them relevant for the current moment and situation, shaking valuable kernels of truth out of the dogmatic, masculine-heavy belief structure hierarchies that exist almost across the board at this point in human history."
This theme increases greatly in strength this spring as the bodies shift from Pisces to Aries, and we swing into a massive trine of the Sagittarius North Node during the first two weeks of May when Mars conjunct Jupiter in Aries and then Mercury conjunct Venus in Aries trine the Sadge North Node and light the fire in a big way for everyone.
Mercury moves from Pisces to Aries March 9 before turning retrograde March 29 until April 22. Then we have our main event - Uranus re-entering Aries March 11. The Sun enters Aries March 20 for a Spring Equinox (in the Northern Hemisphere) that has the Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus in the sign of the ram.
But Mars entering Aries and its domicile April 1 really gets the show on the road.
Know yourself, trust what you know implicitly and put it into action - those are the marching orders for Spring 2011.

Lucky 13 Aquarius New Moon and Things are Popping
It's all OK, somehow. Listen to the Moon as it whispers to let go.
Our niches as elegant and freedom-forging Aquarian revolutionaries with Piscean sage mastery in our back pockets are unfolding. The times of our greatest relevance are still up ahead. Your life has more meaning today that it ever has. You're a thorn in the side and sand in the underwear of all those who want humanity placated, drugged, accepting, docile, handled.
The track you carve out stirs them, shows them how it's done, that it's still possible under Pluto in Capricorn. The weight and pressure you bring yourself through - immense - inspires. Taken to the breaking point and almost beyond a million times. You get through so others can, too. So we can't be broken. The most difficult links are strengthed by your efforts. The tightest and trickiest knots untied. Honour.
The icy coolness of five bodies in Aquarius soothes the hot and stormy mass of unrealized wishes and hopes flying around, quenching old, under-the-Piscean-veil desires with a sizzle and then a glorious wave-lapping neutrality as we wait to see what really unfolds.
The lists made of the Dream Guy, the Dream Girl, the Dream Home, the Dream Job are yellowed and old. Pictures torn from magazines of happy families with your specially chosen names for the kids written in. It's not so hard to let go now.
Things fade to black and we're relieved of our Balsamic soup-making tonight with the New Moon at 8:31 p.m. Central time. We rub our bleary eyes as a new sliver of light starts to reveal to us what the infusion of Aquarian planets has in mind from here.
The Sun, Moon and Mars are conjunct in mid-Aquarius with Neptune and Chiron bringing up the rear in the sign of the water-bearer. This marks the halfway point of our two-year Mars cycle.
The path has been twisty, turny, bumpy, scary, heartbreaky - but it's our's. It's meaty, heady, potent with meaning. Our time of being alive on this planet.
We're past the halfway mark in our series of Thirteenth Witch New Moons at four of six, moving through wave after wave of new territory in the domain of the denied feminine realities. The burst of forward movement we need to make it through. Translating and utilizing these insights - spoken in the language of emotion - is necessary from here.
The thirteenth floor of the building is suddenly becoming accessible to us, and it holds the final puzzle piece that makes the thing whole again.

Jupiter at Tail-End Pisces, the Deluge Myths and the Implanting of the Serpent
Digging for badgers or digging for black gold beneath the surface of the Gulf of Mexico?
Implanted deluge myth meme travelling through time and space? True story of the past? Blueprint handed down for the Global Governors of the Aquarian Age?
We have quite a horror show mystery on our hands, folks, as Jupiter (myths, stories, cultures) camps out on the last degree of Pisces (water, oceans, sacrifice, energetic connection) before entering new territory in Aries January 22 at 11:11 a.m. CT.
More than 600 people are dead from flooding in Brazil. Officially, 47 are dead in the Phillipines and 1.5 million are affected from flooding there caused by torrential rain. More than 300,000 have had to flee their homes along the eastern coast of Sri Lanka after flooding and mudslides there. Australia is under water. Eighteen have been confirmed dead with hundreds of thousands affected.
This follows the deaths of at least 1,500 and displacement of over a million people in Pakistan due to floods this past cardinal t-square summer.
One word is being used to describe all this flooding: biblical.
Fragments of cross-cultural deluge myths are suddenly becoming (sur)reality as we traipse through fin-de-Pisces - set off as part of the long-term plan by a version of "God" that is strictly man-made and a version of life on Earth that is strictly symbolic.
A mass sacrifice to purge and cleanse the Earth of evil, evil scourge human beings, say the true believers. One last Piscean cacophony symphony as Jupiter and Uranus sit on the very end of the sign, about to enter Aries. Sorry, all. The orders are coming down from the Big Guy! Or Ascension. Or the Starry Brethren. Or our Alien Overlords.
We've brought this on ourselves, say those who allow manufactured guilty consciences to be played like violins.
Ha.
The true cause of these floods and of the bizarre weather around the globe can more than likely be rooted to a combination of things: the disruption of the Gulf Loop current by the BP oil/Corexit disaster, the bombardment of the skies by weather-modifying Chemtrails, which have reached a critical mass as far as their effects on both health and weather, and the use of the HAARP and other frequency devices that screw with the ionosphere. Incidentally, NASA reported a collapse in the upper ionosphere this past summer that they could not explain.
At the same time, a marker has been thrown into the collective consciousness through viral mass media. Ophiuchus, the serpent-bearer and 13th constellation of the sidereal zodiac, hit social media like a shot this past week, planting his foot in millions of psyches as a tired, this-is-not-news astronomy/sidereal astrology article became meme.
This triggers and energizes another part of the long-planned and purposefully set-off story. If we hone in on North America and the Lenni-Lanapi or Delaware River Indians' version, after the deluge, a period of snake-worship is secretly brought to Earth. Under worship of the God of the snakes, Wakon, this period brings evil, crime, unhappiness, bad weather, death. Just what the doctor ordered for those looking to rid the Earth of 'excess' humanity while controlling the remainder.
Sure, we've got deluge and serpent-bearer hitting at the same time right now, but that's the way it's being played during this interwoven cross-over period of Pisces to Aquarius.
The implanting of Ophiuchus at this time is also a marker for the passing of Bill C-36 in Canada and Bill S.510 in the United States in December - the suppression and crack-down on natural health and healing. Ophiuchus is associated with Asclepius, a healer who was struck dead by Zeus with a bolt of lightning (Uranian) for bringing people back from the dead. Asclepius was placed within the constellation of Ophiuchus.
The rod of Asclepius, a staff entwined with a snake, is the symbol for mainstream medicine today, and Ophiuchus rising to prominence is a symbolic drawing of attention to the dominance of patriarchal Big Pharma modern medicine and the now-legislated suppression of natural healing and the regenerative powers of the human body through herbs, natural foods and alternative healing techniques.
As this 13th constellation stuff is coming up in the midst of the series of Thirteenth Witch New Moons, bringing with it the emergence of long-denied feminine realities and influence, this especially relates to the historical suppression of the healing abilities of women. These inherent understandings and abilities have always been a threat to the controlling patriarchal set-ups, and women who practised healing through the ages have been unrecognized, vilified, criminalized, intimidated, kept on the fringes. Nowadays, they are put under the shackles of masculine-dominated hierarchy within the mainstream medical establishment.
And yet another masculine astrological symbol coming to prominence at this time within the already imbalanced, masculine-heavy zodiac does not help matters...

Venus in Scorpio Works its Magic on the Era-Shifting Mutual Reception and Fighting for the Right to See Through Our Own Eyes...Part Two
Five thousand and twenty blackbirds fall from the sky.
Venus in Scorpio is just moving out of its square to Neptune-Chiron in Aquarius and trine to Jupiter-Uranus in Pisces.
Venus is the last body to march through Scorpio, applying the Scorpionic X-ray vision to the astrological era-shifting Uranus-Neptune mutual reception, which comes to an official close March 11 when Uranus re-enters Aries.
The Venus aspects were exact the day of the January 4 Capricorn New Moon/partial solar eclipse, and we're experiencing a little Neptunian media-driven deja vu.
In late October, as Mars in Scorpio passed through this hot spot in the zodiac, the official line on three massive fish kills in Louisiana was: oxygen depletion unrelated to Corexit or the BP oil disaster.
This despite independent testing that found oil in the gills and livers of the fish.
Now, as Venus moves through late Scorpio, the last in the cavalry of the asteroids and personal planets to move through these aspects from Scorpio, we hear "experts" telling the mainstream media that the deaths of 5,000 red-winged blackbirds and starlings near Beebe, Arkansas just before midnight on December 31, 2010 were caused by: a loud noise (possibly fireworks) that startled the birds into flying into low-lying structures like buildings.
Yes. All 5,000 of them. Flew into buildings. To their deaths. In a town of 5,000 people. At the very same time. One last hurrah for 2010.
The blood clots and internal hemorrhaging found in the birds is simply evidence that they experienced a "traumatic event."
Another massive fish kill of 100,000 drum fish in the Arkansas River, 125 miles from Beebe, and the deaths of 500 more birds (red-winged blackbirds, sparrows and starlings) in Labarre, Louisiana at around the same time are unrelated, these experts say.
Apparently, the location of the Pine Bluff Arsenal outside Pine Bluff, Arkansas, a U.S. military facility that stores and distributes chemical and biological weapons, is also unrelated. It hasn't warranted a mention in the mainstream channels.
Here's the deja vu.
"A robotic, manipulated, insane official explanation that defies all basic, human logic - and the requirement to shrug that off and dig for the real story ourselves.
Getting beneath the permeating official line created by such crafty manipulators of the collective ethers takes all our skill, determination and courage. Tearing multi-layered masks off the soft-lit illusions that persistently work to keep people enmeshed in insane constructs not their own is a step-by-step process requiring us to go slowly and carefully, countering every official line with raw, gut-level Scorpionic authenticity - and research."
A CNN story shows a drugged or poisoned John P. Wheeler III, ex-Pentagon official, defense adviser and expert on chemical and biological weapons, stumbling through surveillance videos two days before his body turned up in a Delaware landfill. Wheeler was a Council on Foreign Relations member, an adviser to both Reagen and Daddy Bush.
The Wheeler murder story runs two stories prior to the official line blackbird story.
In plain sight, but the connecting threads are not offered by the coiffed and make-upped CNN anchors.

Lucky 13 Capricorn New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse and the Grande Finale Venus in Scorpio Status Report
Venus in Scorpio is strongly involved here with the 'denied realities of the thirteeth witch' astro energy. The resources and energies being kept tied up and tightly controlled within corrupt, unjust, masculine-heavy constructs, within the "way things are," have been Scorpionically stirred.
And after our Venus retrograde in Scorpio and late Libra through the Via Combusta degrees, we've gotten wise in a big way to our own energetic currency - social, emotional, psychic, soulful, sexual. Rather than unconsciously pouring it outward to fufill every demand and request, we're keeping it close, maintaining our own personal control.
The power-hungry at the top of the crumbling Pluto in Capricorn pyramid schemes want to starve us out? Make us their fin-de-Pisces sacrificial lambs? Replay Jesus and the gang en masse in one big, symbolic puppet show? Pin us down and tell us because we don't hold enough of their phony fiat currencies that we're worthless, meaningless, purposeless, that we don't deserve the basics of life?
All right then. We'll have a little game of chicken. How about some Libra tit-for-tat?
There's that wily, crafty Venus in Scorpio motherfucker rocking it into the new decade that I was talking about. We don't go down without quietly using every trick in OUR book, without playing every...last...card. And I still say we hold the biggest trump in the deck.
There comes a time when even the most staunchly consensus reality individual can no longer use their personal resources to support what is going on - and we inch ever-closer to that domino trigger point. Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn should bring it.
With Venus involved so strongly, this plays out in personal relationships and relationship constructs, with self-esteem, money and values, as well as in the broader social and political realms. As always, these are inextricably inter-related. The personal is political.
The New Moon at 3:03 a.m. CT January 4 is a partial solar eclipse and marks the third of six New Moons at 13 degrees of the signs, interspersed with five anaretic (29th) degree Full Moons.
Our Cappie New Moon is surrounded by powerhouse aspects including the final Jupiter-Uranus conjunction of this Uranus in Pisces era, which happens at 27 degrees Pisces. We take a step at this New Moon toward more fully trusting our own authority, especially spiritual authority as it applies to our physical lives, slowly gaining the emotional wherewithal to responsibly deal with the abrupt changes up ahead.
In November, I wrote about the divergence being Scorpionically carved out in wave after wave by the personal planets and asteroids (Pallas Athene, Mars, the Sun, Moon, Vesta and Mercury) transiting Scorpio throughout the transit of Venus in Scorpio. All these bodies travelling through late Scorpio formed, almost simultaneously, a square to Chiron-Neptune in Aquarius and a trine to Uranus-Jupiter in Pisces. This is the Uranus-Neptune mutual reception we've experienced over the last seven years, which indicated the most densely interwoven crossover period between astrological Piscean and Aquarian eras. This mutual reception is about to come to an end when Uranus re-enters Aries. Big shift.
"The personal planets in Scorpio, a sign that does what it knows it has to do whether it really wants to or not, are doing their thing to break this party up, triggering some separation and distance. A divergence point is being carved out on the most nitty-gritty of levels, in the hidden areas of which only Scorpio is aware. We have to know exactly what (and whom) we're dealing with in order to know what direction (Aries) to take right out of the Aquarius gate. Every individual's movement and choices count. Don't be fooled into giving your influence away...
On the most basic level, we're being asked to examine the motivations of our own souls (Scorpio). Divining to the core, to our source, to the reason we are here at this time. We're being asked to draw in, to keep our deepest spiritual values close, and to determine what is so important to us that there is nothing in this Earthly experience that could make us give it up.
These configurations also have to do with the human soul and spirit in relation to our biology and our connection to Earth and to the life force here. This connection is being used against us in the most heinous ways by those who believe they have harnessed the life force, life itself, and have become the source of it altogether. Our biology is being poisoned and our DNA manipulated by these fools.
And we're asked to determine what it means to us to be human - at a time when our survival as biological human beings is coming into question under the current conditions and possible future trajectories...
The transitions are fast now, but it's nothing in comparison to the speed with which the realizations of where we are will strike when Uranus re-enters Aries, no longer buffered and obscured by the Piscean veil...
We're having to strip the dead energy of the Piscean Age overlay layer-by-layer in preparation for Uranus in Aries tipping the scales further into Aquarius at the upcoming Spring Equinox. This doesn't mean Pisces energy itself is dead - though, I think many in "power" would like this to be the case. It's because true Piscean wisdom and understanding are going to be so crucially important as we shift into a stronger Aquarian overlay that we have to Scorpionically carve away and drop what is no longer effective or relevant to the times. Pisces energy is being born anew in an ongoing process - as all the signs/energies of the zodiac are - as we head to the Aquarian infusion marker of Uranus in Aries (beginning March 11)."
Scorpio is about the merging of energy, lives, souls and the power of transformative change available through successful mergings. But before the merge comes the purge.
Throughout the Via Combusta Venus retrograde in Scorpio and into late Libra, which I've written a lot about, the divergence points were carefully examined and painstakingly extricated so we had the power to consciously eliminate detrimental combinations of energy and take new routes. Old attractions and patterns, especially related to the acceptance of mistreatment or misuse of our personal energies, love and effort, were shed. To create the kind of alchemy, especially relationship alchemy, we need, there can be no errors. We must be working with the finest characters, the highest quality, the strongest compatibilities. No improper ingredients in the alchemical mix.
At the time of the New Moon, post-retrograde Venus is the last member of the Scorpy cavalry to make these aspects to Neptune, Jupiter, Uranus, and Chiron and we have our final checkpoint status report showing us how far we've come - as well as any final adjustments and eliminations that must be made.
The Venus square to Neptune comes at the very end of the Dark of the Moon period, just a half-hour before the New Moon, and this indicates that there are some very fast, in-the-nick-of-time shifts that need to be made, especially emotionally.
Some of most tenacious wounding Neptunian illusions and misdirections have held on until the end, and these shifts onto firmer and more reality-based ground need to be made so that we do not become entrapped once again in what keeps us stuck, unmoving, tricked and played.

Mercury Goes Direct and Looking to the Plutonic Root
We made our way through Sun conjunct Pluto in Capricorn December 26 and Mars in Capricorn square Saturn in Libra December 29, which had some bleakness and bottoming out effects associated. We`re now slowly putting some time and distance between us and the grinding, heavy-hitter aspects that were working away beneath the buoyance of the holidays.
Mercury went direct at 19 Sagittarius early this morning, and the travellers stranded, delayed and diverted by wicked winter storms in the United Kingdom and along the eastern parts of the United States and Canada will be breathing a sigh of relief that the holiday season is coming to a close. A wicked Mercury retro it was, infused powerfully with both Pluto and Mars in Capricorn energy at the time of the retrograde station.
We saw uncharacteristically stormy weather wreak havoc in the United Kingdom and along the eastern side of Canada and the United States. But there was weird weather in many other areas, too, including much cooler than usual temperatures in Florida and much wetter weather in California.
With Pluto involved, there is a deeper and broader root cause for the symptoms of wicked weather and resulting Mercury retro chaos. And with Jupiter about to form a conjunction to Uranus in Pisces on the day of the 13th degree Capricorn New Moon/partial solar eclipse January 4, I think we can look to the disruption of the Gulf Loop Current by the BP oil disaster.
The Loop Current plays a crucial role within the Gulf Stream, the ocean current that travels from the tip of Florida along the eastern coastlines of the United States and Canada. The Gulf Stream then splits in two, with the northern stream moving to northern Europe and the southern stream moving to West Africa.
The Gulf Stream influences the climate of the east coast of North America from Florida to Newfoundland and the west coast of Europe. In particular, this current carries warm water across the Atlantic, making Western Europe warmer than it would otherwise be.
Hmm...
Dr. Gianluigi Zangari, an Italian theoretical physicist, warned this past cardinal t-square-infused summer that the disruption of the Loop Current within the Gulf Stream could cause extreme weather and temperature changes, as well as droughts, floods and resulting crop failures. More fodder for the derivatives schemes.
And here's the Piscean tip: the Loop Current plays a crucial role within the Gulf Stream which plays a crucial role within the interlinked system of ocean currents that regulate global weather patterns. To say that the disruption of the Gulf Loop Current means the disruption of all weather patterns on Earth and, therefore, all life on Earth, is no exaggeration.
Here's where we're being attacked at this tail-end Piscean Era: with all the inter-related aspects of life on this planet. Permeate the whole by attacking individual parts. Ripple-effect shock waves set off by broad-scale events that reach right into personal lives.
Venus is in late Scorpio and will enter Sagittarius January 7, having moved out of retrograde shadow degrees and the Via Combusta at 13 and 15 degrees Scorpio.
Venus will square Neptune-Chiron in late Aquarius while trining Jupiter-Uranus on the day of our Cappie New Moon/solar eclipse (big aspects day), and our gut-level intuitive understanding gets a big workout from the Pisces-to-Aquarius, we're-living-in-some-sort-of-sci-fi-novel backdrop. Have your Scorpionic bullshit detectors at the ready! We're going to have to honour every last twinge of our feelers here - both personally and on the social/global scale. The key is reality-based smart over possibilities-driven hopeful. This far along, every Neptunian/Piscean trick in the book is at the disposal of those who have no problem putting that to use.
There are big almost-post-Piscean patterns here we need to move out of: patterns of belief, hopes, illusions, ideals, wishes that prove to be wounding mirage again and again. Dig down into your wiliest, craftiest, most boo-yah! self and let that motherfucker rock it as we close out 2010 and enter 2011. Peel through the weak-ass ploys and plays of those working the fuzzy wuzzy, pumped up Neptunian trip. Every layer debunked and illusion shattered matters now - on multiple levels.
We need the new track. The truly new one. Oh boy, do we. And that starts by proving ourselves with the Grand Finale Venus in Scorpio aspects coming...right...up.

Lucky 13 Sagittarius New Moon as Uranus Stations Direct and the Truth is, It's All Just a Bit Surreal
Our December 5 Lucky 13 Sagittarius New Moon (11:36 a.m. CT) is infused with this concentrated Uranus in Pisces energy as Uranus stations direct later that evening (7:50 p.m.). Mars in Sagittarius will be just past a square to Uranus in Pisces (December 3) adding some feistiness to the proceedings.
Emerging soul spaces and rejuvenated inspiration based in direct experience of our own guiding truths, strengthened and clarified at this New Moon as we rapidly transition from Piscean to Aquarian astrological eras.
There are many people who believe they have the truth these wild and woolly days - from New Agers, 9/11 Truthers, and UFO researchers to genetically engineering scientists, politicians, and WikiLeaks. But often, these so-called truth-tellers are wrapped up in the very systems and organizations and ideologies they claim to be attempting to out. What (possibly) started off as true opposition becomes enveloped, assimilated, hooked into the same old end points. Celebrity, cliqueiness and in crowds - and the thirst for recognition within them - start to overshadow the real work.
People realize how difficult it is to stay true, how unpopular the truths no one else wants to touch are - and how unpopular speaking those truths might make them. And they fudge it a bit. They soften their standards for the acceptance and energy of being more palatable to the crowd.
Figurehead truthtellers are put forth as supposed radicals who carefully control the information and oppositional vibes, never coming close to the full root truth.
I recently had an experience with an individual I would consider an establishment truthteller figurehead, after being invited by my roomie to a speech by a man named George Galloway. I hadn't heard of this man and generally avoid these types of things but decided to go with her. It turns out he was on a paid speaking tour across Canada. Of course he was. He's a Scottish MP in the British Parliament currently embroiled in a public pissing match/legal battle with Jason Kenney, the Canadian federal minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, who attempted to have him banned from Canada as a terrorist due to his really quite uncontroversial stance on Palestine and Israel. Basically, he isn't rampantly pro-Zionist as the Harper Conservatives are.
So I sat at the speech for a while listening to him loudly proclaim what I suppose passes for revolutionary thought in Parliaments these days. Most of the crowd was eating it up, clapping at all the right moments. But as I listened to him make his middle-of-the-road points and talk about his accolades and his meetings with Her Majesty the Queen, I thought, if this is what's passing for independent, radical thought these days in the peace movement, we're in trouble.
Why are people still so desperate for an authority figure, a hero? And why are so many people willing to pay to listen to a guy saying things that any woman (or conscious man) knows pretty much from birth?
I closed my eyes, and his loud, emphatic speaking tone started to sound a bit like Hitler's. My head started to ache. My pelvis started to hurt. My feminine energy was protesting that I would sit and subject myself to it.
Needless to say, I had to leave the speech early and regretted parting with my dollars to listen to this man. My roommate did some research later and found out he is anti-abortion and votes that way in British Parliament. Definitely not my cup of tea. But the rapt attention this man was receiving, including a partial standing ovation, was a bit surreal.
It's all a bit surreal, isn't it? The trances, the consensus realities - especially in so-called alternative circles. The establishment has definitely set in in this Pluto in Capricorn Age.
The dispositor of the Sagittarius New Moon is Jupiter in Pisces, which is conjunct Uranus, making the Uranian/Piscean Bizarre-o World flavour even more pronounced.
Think Nazis and NWO-ers dancing the reel with the cast of the early John Waters films to Isabella Rosselini in red lipstick singing a Roy Orbison song.
At this New Moon, we're gathering the Uranus in Pisces flashes of insight as puzzle pieces to guide us through the bizarre and surreal aspects of Pisces-to-Aquarius.
With the Sun and Moon involved, the two luminaries, the truths we're being inspired by at this New Moon are personal ones. The masculine-heavy rhetoric and posturing clear away at the Dark of the Moon. The lunar energy washes over us as we honour the truth that we are, the wisdom that we hold, simply by being, and the direct access we have to it always. The truths we embody just by being who we are and living true to that in these times, with the experiences we've had or understood through our physical and spiritual lineages ringing through every cell. This involves, especially, feminine truth. The truth of the women of this planet. And sure, the truth of the men who hear and feel and know that feminine truth and take responsibility for it. They are few.
This New Moon is a point in time to welcome rejuvenation of the force of optimism in our lives amidst some fairly horrifying circumstances.
The Gulf stream current has been disrupted, more than likely purposefully, by the nightmare going on in the Gulf of Mexico. This basically means all life on this planet has been disrupted. Uranus (disruptor) in Pisces (oceans and energetic flow). There is an old, energy-holder culture whose patterns have been disrupted, destroyed, in the Gulf fishermen and women. A rhythmic, natural flow that helped to regulate life on this planet has been shattered, just as the lives of those people have been shattered with loss of livelihood, loss of way of life and loss of health.
More than that, this is an intentional traumatic break between Piscean and Aquarian eras. A giant symbolic offering to those forces that would like us to head down the dystopian Aquarian track. An artificial jumpstart.
This 13th degree Sagittarrius New Moon is an opening into renewed faith, renewed inspiration and a renewal of our ultimate guiding truth in light of the very tricky times in which we find ourselves living. And in light of our awareness of all those thirteenth witch realities that are still so obscured and denied by the majority. This New Moon portal opens new emotional territory for us along these lines that sustains us going forward from this point.
Sagittarius is often associated with things like university education, philosophy, and religion, but I always found those associations too patriarchal to be the whole story for a sign as connected to our wildness and freedom as Sagittarius. Sagittarius requires intellectual freedom and room to roam, and really, higher education, philosophy and religious scholarship can be trappings. Historically, these things, along with another Sagittarian association, long-distance travel, have been accessible only by people of a certain financial and social privilege and mostly by white men within that privilege.
Sagittarius is a sign related to direct experiences with life that bring us closer to truth, so how can Sagittarius be tied up with these things when every individual did not and does not have access to them? To me, they can be a means to an end, but they are not the crux of the sign - free thinkers don't need ideology or university degrees, although exposure to those things can definitely be beneficial.
The symbol for Sagittarius is the centaur - half human, half horse - and I think the real talent of Sagittarius energy is its development of inherent knowledge of the natural way of things - how things would go down and should go down if we were all really free to live in attunement with the natural world around us.
Although the centaur is often considered a masculine symbol, centaurs are also female, and I think the female aspect of the symbol is part of what emerges at this New Moon.
After Uranus goes direct, every planet in our zodiac will be moving direct. We're moving forward quite rapidly from this New Moon to Spring Equinox and Uranus in Aries. At that point, Uranus will not be back to Pisces for 76 years.
All this forward planetary motion will help to offset the hardcore Mercury retrograde we'll soon be experiencing (December 10-30). Mercury will be the only planet moving retrograde until January 26 when Saturn turns retro at 17 degrees Libra.
So we're on our way at the point of the Sagittarius New Moon to one of the most all-encompassing birth point equinoxes we've seen in quite some time.
This is why the strengthening of our personal truth, the clarifying of our personal wisdom and the rejuvenation of our faith, our spirit and our optimism is so important at this New Moon.
And if you have to walk out of the speech early because it just isn't hitting you as legit, by all means...
The Moon enters Sagittarius December 4 at 11:50 a.m. CT. The New Moon is December 5 at 11:36 a.m. Uranus goes direct December 5 at 7:50 p.m.

Anaretic Degree Full Moons and the Movement of the Fixed Stars
October 22, 2010 - 29 Aries
November 21, 2010 - 29 Taurus
December 21, 2010 - 29 Gemini (total lunar eclipse)
January 19, 2011 - 29 Cancer
February 18, 2011 - 29 Leo
Thirteenth Degree New Moons
November 5, 2010 - 13 Scorpio
December 5, 2010 - 13 Sagittarius
January 4, 2011 - 13 Capricorn (partial solar eclipse)
February 4, 2011 - 13 Aquarius
March 4, 2011 - 13 Pisces
April 3, 2011 - 13 Aries
We've just experienced the second of our anaretic Full Moons at 29 Taurus.
As I've written previously, this series of anaretic Full Moons, in combination with the series of "Thirteenth Witch" New Moons, marks a six-month period of massive culmination points coupled with potent new triggered openings ahead of Uranus' ingress back into Aries in March of 2011.
That ingress marks the beginning of the official "whole new ballgame" on this planet, especially in light of the devastation being wrought by all those kooky End Times lovers. Where do we go from here? For those invested in staying on Planet Earth and improving conditions, that's becoming a tricky question to answer.
The new 13th degree openings are made possible by some long-hidden and long-suppressed realities suddenly being made visible. Energetic violations and abuses that have simmered beneath the surface are being busted wide open and aired, finally, in the collective - starting to gain traction now because they are simply too flagrant to turn a blind eye to at this point. Too many dots have been connected. People are starting to understand that it's all inter-related and it's not going anywhere, that none of it has ever been swept under the rug, not really.
And a cheer goes up from Plutonics across the land. Could it be that the masses are now getting a wee understanding?
The addition of the 13th witch - either literal or energetic symbolic - sets things into motion, triggering necessary alchemical tipping points as we pass through each New Moon doorway on our way back to the initial Uranus in Aries birth point of a brand new energetic paradigm on this Earth.
Here's our running start. There's no going back. Things are speeding up here at a point when we feel we can hardly tolerate much more. Processing massive energy changes and facilitating unfathomable shifts through our bodies, minds, energetic beings, relationships and placements in physical locations. For me, it's nowhere near as knock-me-on-my-ass overwhelming as it has been over the previous seven years of Uranus in Pisces-Neptune in Aquarius, but for others who have not been doing this kind of energetic work, it could be a rude awakening.
We're hurtling along as Venus gets back up to full speed direct in the Via Combusta. Drop, purge or burn away whatever you can now. Moving this fast and covering this much ground, we have to be as streamlined as possible. There are big propulsions going on here, and we need all the velocity we can muster. Being slowed down by our baggage - or worse, running headlong into someone else's - is something we can't risk. Don't take the bait. Duck and weave. Hitting a suitcase full of redundant Piscean Age bullshit at these speeds would not be pretty...
This is a pivotal time period in which it is being determined where we will be going, where we will be placed within the newly developing Aquarian fray, where our soul skills and abilities will carve out a new path compatible with what we're here on this planet to do during these times.
And we don't just sail through these New Moon portals easy peasy. Oh no. We have to work it, and it sure doesn't feel great. The North Node is conjunct Pluto, and in fact, our path through this mess feels like hell a lot of the time.
From a previous post:
"We have to work for new ground here, proving ourselves inside and out and displaying that we really have learned enough to move on from the Piscean era karmic loops...
Potent new energy will be streaming onto the planet and into our lives during these 13th degree New Moons with the potential to shake us out of some really embedded collective and personal yuck...but also with a requirement to bring things to a full conclusion with the anaretic Full Moons. If we don't do it right, if we don't get all of it, we don't enter any truly new territory. There's a rhythm here with these Moons where we can intuit how far we need to take things - and not a step farther."
As most know, a Full Moon is experienced when the Sun is exactly opposite the Moon, so each of these anaretic degree Full Moons happens with the Sun on the anaretic degree of the opposite sign. The anaretic degree is the last degree of a sign and is significant in that it is a degree in which we are challenged to master and apply what we've learned during previous degrees of the sign - or suffer the consequences. It's a make-or-break degree, complex and multi-layered, where to shirk our responsibilities means not moving forward, at the very least.
On the anaretic degrees, we're distilling the energetic lessons of the entire signs.
At these anaretic Full Moons, the Sun opposite the Moon creates a point of highest pulling tension, a harmonic tightening along the polarity that tunes up the full spectrum of energies and spins off whatever is not necessary moving forward, leaving us with a new mix to play with.
An interesting aspect of this time period is that just after we finish this series of New and Full Moons and Uranus re-enters Aries, the fixed star Scheat follows Uranus' path from 29 Pisces to 0 Aries. Scheat is a nasty character, associated with all those very unfortunate Piscean things like imprisonment, drowning, murder, suicide, shipwrecks, and sorrow. So at the very least, this should be one albatross lifted from beleaguered tail-end Pisces. What it will mean to have Uranus conjunct Scheat in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn...well, let's just focus on what we're doing now, shall we?
Interestingly, along with Scheat, many of the other fixed stars have fairly recently precessed from the 29th degree to the 0 degree. Lots of shifting going on.
Alrisha entered zero Taurus from Aries, Pleaides precessed to zero Gemini; Menkalinan precessed to zero Cancer, Aludra precessed to zero Leo, Regulus precessed to zero Virgo, Toliman shifted to zero Sagittarius, Sinistra shifted to zero Capricorn and Terebellum to zero Aquarius.
So whereas these anaretic Full Moons would have been happening exactly conjunct these fixed stars, we've got a little pressure taken off! Party.
Alrisha added a fortunate flavour to our October Aries Full Moon, especially along the lines of unity within groups.
Pleaides, the Seven Sisters, adds a downer vibe to the our recent Taurus Full Moon along the lines of accidents, blindness (hmm - maybe not just literal) and violence. This Full Moon also happened within a couple degrees of what many consider the nastiest, most evil and violent fixed star of the bunch, Algol. This star is associated with violence, beheading, hanging, choking, asphyxiation, electrocution, murder, mob violence. Good times. I think we could say with fair certainty that the stampede on the last night of a Cambodian water festival that killed 345 people and injured 320 more was a Taurus Full Moon conjunct Algol event.
Menkalinan continues the downward slide at our Gemini Full Moon with risk of ruin, disgrace, violent death - especially through pleasure-seeking (so no seeking of pleasure, you crazy kids!) - and a danger of earthquakes if associated with solar eclipse. Luckily, we are dealing with a lunar eclipse on this one. Earthquakes are not something we want to experience this December, especially after the horror of the Haiti earthquake last year, with millions still homeless and now a horrifying cholera outbreak, brought in more than likely by UN workers.
Aludra raises our spirits with the Cancer Full Moon. This star has a fortunate vibe involving good-hearted charitableness and faithfulness but with a hint of dangerous passions, a dash of danger from or fear of darkness and a slight liability to dog bites.
Our Leo Full Moon in February just ahead of the Uranus ingress keeps the good times rolling and should bolster our spirits, conjoined with what is considered by some to be the most benefic star in the universe, Regulus. This star is considered the most royal: Raphael, the healing archangel and watcher of the North. Nobility, ambition, alertness, great power, status and leadership are associated with a little bit of sudden downfall, accidents and violence just to keep things interesting.
Thanks to astrologer Rob Tillet for his fixed star information.

Thirteenth Degree Scorpio New Moon and Mercury Squares Off With Some Potent Stationing Neptune-Chiron Illusions
Venus will be about two-thirds done its retrograde in Scorpio, which ends November 18 on the same day Jupiter turns direct in Pisces, and this New Moon happens on the exact degree where Venus turned retrograde. We're working to emerge from some claustrophobic old attractions and layers, past-related attachments and etheric grasping, and emotional reactions and patterns in relationship, especially ways in which all that has to do with our self-worth. We're digging into some deep issues here on multiple fronts and purging a lot from our systems, traversing some very bumpy (yet all-too-familiar) terrain, and boy, it's exhausting.
But as the Sun and Moon fuze in Scorpio in a stellium with Venus, Vesta and Mercury, we have a golden opportunity to hold to what's true, letting old stuff burn away and drop to the ground, breaking its hold over us and moving intuitively onto new emotional ground.
This has to do with family patterns and the relationship constructs and dynamics patterned through our familial lines, as well as unfinished love/relationship business along spiritual lineages as part of the ongoing Pisces-to-Aquarius collective purging and reformulating. Multi-layered with a lot trying to grasp and attach and suck us back in. It will take a strong conscious awareness of interpersonal dynamics and emotional realities to make it fully through this New Moon portal. We've been working on this a long time, and here it can be shed.
At the same time, we're all about fried from so much Scorpio and Pluto emphasis over the past month (Pluto, Ceres and the North Node are still conjunct in early Capricorn), so we have to be very gentle with ourselves and with others. It won't take much to push to emotional catatonic overload now, so we need to close out this lunar cycle and begin the new one slowly, with our emotional readiness and the readiness of those around us as guides. A little goes a long way here.
This New Moon occurs as Chiron and Neptune are both stopped in the zodiac, stationing direct at the same time in a tight late-Aquarius conjunction (Chiron November 5, Neptune November 7). Stations are times when the energy of the planet/body is considered especially potent and resonant, permeating the astro atmospheric conditions.
Communication and intelligence planet Mercury in late Scorpio plays a strong role in this New Moon chart, locked into an exact square with stationing Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius. Mercury is also trine Jupiter and Uranus, still retrograde, in late Pisces.
This makes the Mercury-Neptune/Chiron square a huge highlight and energetic theme of this New Moon chart and the next lunar cycle. We're about to get the initial layers of this show on the road with Neptune, Chiron, Venus and Jupiter stationing direct this month and Uranus following suit December 5 on the day of our next thirteenth degree New Moon in Sagittarius. Holding the unwavering Scorpionic eye on the proceedings is just what we need to get started in the right direction now.
As I've written about previously, the personal planets and a couple asteroids have already transited (Pallas Athene and Mars) or are currently transiting (Venus, the Sun, Moon, Vesta and Mercury) Scorpio, triggering in wave after wave this square to Neptune-Chiron in Aquarius and trine to Jupiter Rx and Uranus Rx in Pisces.
The Scorpionic penetration of wounding Neptunian illusions and delusions about the future absolutely has to occur if we are to get to any real state of equality and freedom on this planet anytime in the near future.
Future-oriented utopian ideals and 2012 'consciousness ascension' fervour have been pumped so full of Neptunian ether at this point that they're bursting at the seams, having little to do with solving the actual problems and remedying the actual injustices on this planet from the ground up. Feet have been lifted so far off the ground and people have been pulled so far out of their grounded, intuitive understanding and earthy logic, that we've been left with a dangerously maleable group, tossed this way and that depending which way the information fads and the media, both mainstream and "alternative," blow them.
Tell me again why the over-glorification of the "upper chakras"? All too purposeful, I think...
Multiple overlays attempt to buy our attention, our allegiance, our truth, our minds, our words. Much of the "alternative" has been swallowed up, infiltrated, now little more than a subsidiary arm, never getting to the root.
The consuming, obsessional quality of information and of information-seeking in this over-saturated multi-media age comes to the forefront under this aspect. The looping, addictive patterns from one information source to another. Internet, television, radio, internet, television, radio. Never a moment free from the blaring frequencies that act so detrimentally on our personal frequencies. More and more information with less and less meaning, creating a group of people who don't know what to believe until they are told what to believe, attempting to fill up on conflicting informational bits and pieces and coming away hungry, unsatisfied, enervated, ever-further from the wisdom of their own souls. Seeking something of substance, something that hits the mark and gives some real perspective on the matters at hand.
There is a strong impetus here to purify our information channels, eliminating those that do not deliver the goods. The cleansing and protection of our mental and psychic environments.
Here, the Scorpionic crap-cutting and ability to see in the dark become crucial, with our own penetrating personal insights (Mercury in Scorpio), merged with others' of just the right tenor, key in extricating us and our real vision for the Aquarian future from those who seek to hijack them.
Mercury in Scorpio has a direct line from our ears and our eyes right to our guts. Body intuition connected to our receptive minds. Mercury in Scorpio can listen to the energy of words, determine the underlying agenda and extricate itself from the manipulated scene before the speech's opening paragraph is even complete. It can follow reaction - both personal and collective - to oratory, to official lines and official announcements, and understand the true motive of what is being floated in the public. It can watch the movement and sway of the crowd and determine when it is being herded by Uranian/Neptunian dangling carrots. This is where our minds are now, what we can tap into as we butt up against the Neptune-Chiron in Aquarius futuristic siren songs attempting to suck us into more of the same.
But first, the Scorpio energy has to be honed in the individual to the point where it is trustworthy above all else. We have to be able to trust that when we extricate ourselves from the din of dis/information and from the movements and shifts of the group mind, we'll be left with what's real and true, even if that means standing alone.
And all this while the collective conscious and unconscious is being purposefully saturated with every fearful End Time possibility. Scorpio and fear go hand-in-hand. Facing our fears, accepting and disarming them and neutralizing the power they have over us as best we can are all part of the liberation and spiritual elevation of the sign.
Nowhere is this more apparent, with Venus retrograde, than in our relationships. All the old fears - of being alone, desolate, unvaluable, unworthy, unlovable, rejected, of being deprived and starved of love, money, resources - are coming to the surface, testing their power over us. There's a fear telling us we can't let go of our connection to the subpar in relationship and elsewhere in case that's all there is for us.
The old illusory traps are also out in full force. We just think we've gotten past one, and another pops up like a black hole on the ground in a Looney Tunes cartoon.
This deep into the Piscean era, Neptune has certainly got our number as far as long-held hopes and dreams in and for relationships. We've taken the bait countless times in the past and swallowed nasty-ass dealbreaker realities hook, line and sinker, leaving us in huge messes that we had to dig ourselves out of.
And here, the Mercury-Neptune/Chiron square is prevalent, too, preceding the square to Neptune and Chiron by post-retrograde Venus itself next January.
New lovers speak the same phrases the old ones did, whispering just what Neptune thinks we'd like to hear. But this time, the words are surprisingly hollow, easily punctured.
Soul mate asteroid Juno is at 13 degrees Virgo at the time of this New Moon, exactly sextile the Sun-Moon conjunction. Add some no-nonsense Virgoan wheat-from-chaff standards and grounded analysis into the mix, and we're in good shape, very good shape. Promises that seemed so plausible before in our Neptunian loved-up states now seem laughable. Did we really fall for this previously? Have so many before us really fallen for this?
The clarifying messages should be coming in loud and clear. And here's the hot tip with Juno in Virgo sextile Sun-Moon in Scorpio and Mercury squaring Neptune-Chiron. The truth is really very simple, very basic. Reality is grounded and healing, not something from which to get intoxicated. Love is, too. So if that's what people are looking for - yet another temporary fix, yet another informational or verbal or sexual spike to the vein to calm their fevered and frenzied states - they'll miss it. The voice is quiet, responsible, firm...and effective. There are no bells and whistles. No phony Neptunian blasts elevating beyond the situation on this planet or the circumstances of human life...only to crash to the ground later.
Saturn in Libra has shown us the value of what's solid, real and responsible over the dream and the rosey potential. Show us the money and walk your talk or move along down the road. Wishful thinking has never been so unsexy. The old hopes and dreams seem somehow stale and outdated now, naive, and so much less valuable than love that is available and right in front of us.
This time, when the sweet nothings hit our ears and our stomachs lurch a little, we can follow our guts rather than smoothing things over and talking ourselves out of what we are really feeling, what we really know.
The final snips to what is illusory and inevitably disappointing and heartbreaking in relationship and elsewhere are just about ready. All those who have come before, who have pined and wept over their sweet and wonderful dreams unceremoniously crushed, are about ready now, too.
Mercury enters Sagittarius November 8 (whew!), joining Mars and Pallas and leaving Venus, the Sun and Vesta transiting our old pal Scorpio. (Except that Venus dips back into Libra November 7 for the last stretch of it's retrograde, re-entering Scorpio direct November 29.)
Venus goes direct November 18, the same day Jupiter goes direct in late Pisces. This is also a reliever, and we can start looking forward to Venus entering Sagittarius January 7 and Jupiter re-entering Aries January 22. That's a fiery blast forward that should be very welcome.

Anaretic Aries Full Moon Heading to a New Moon in Scorpio on Lucky 13
You don't get much more spicy astrological numerology than this. The next six months of New and Full Moons are absolutely ripe. Working closely with the lunar movements, the feminine is getting this shit FINISHED. Stick a fork in it. It. is. done.
The Moon is on its way to fullness October 22 at 29 degrees Aries (8:37 p.m. CDT). This is the anaretic degree where all the lessons and requirements of the entire sign are boiled down and purified into a potent final exam testing ground. This is where we prove (or disprove) our mastery with the sign's energy and themes and see how well we've done integrating and practising the lessons of the previous 29 degrees.
In Aries, this Full Moon relates to proving ourselves emotionally strong enough, courageous enough and ready for the fresh ground for which we've been striving at this tail-end Piscean era. Proving that we have the courage to be ourselves, to be true to ourselves and to stand in who we are in any situation, with any individual or within any group. Finding the courage to follow our instincts into new territory instead of getting hooked back into familiar same old, same old.
This anaretic Aries Full Moon starts a series involving four additional anaretic degree Full Moons (in Taurus, Gemini, Cancer and Leo) over the next months. These are massive emotional culminations pushing to a head, requiring great skill to successfully navigate. The master lessons, indeed. We have to work for new ground here, proving ourselves inside and out and displaying that we really have learned enough to move on from the Piscean era karmic loops.
October 22 is the book-end 29th degree Full Moon to the zero degree Aries Full Moon we experienced September 23, and we've got a clean-sweep culmination in the first sign of the zodiac - the sign of brand spanking new fresh starts and directions.
As we're currently in Venus retrograde (October 8 - November 18), these two book-end Aries Full Moons provide a culmination point for all the Venus in Aries retrograde themes we've been working on since the last Venus retrograde in March/April of 2009. Here, we see how far we've come and whether we've really entered any new territory at all.
We honed our skills related to identity and valuing our raw, individual identities within the group as a primal guiding force during that retrograde and subsequent Venus cycle. Being true to ourselves and fighting for that right when necessary, speaking up, taking action, taking the lead, following our instincts, exerting our identities in a balanced way and working the right mix of togetherness and potent individuality. If we don't know who we are and what we stand for at this point, if we're not able to comfortably stand as who we are, this Full Moon could get emotionally rocky, triggering some necessary personal work and actions to take.
We built our Aries muscles during the past Venus cycle, and we're definitely going to need them to power through the last bit of Jupiter-Uranus retrograde in late Pisces and Neptune-Chiron retrograde in late Aquarius. Uranus and Neptune, of course, are in a late-degrees mutual reception (transiting each other's signs), indicating we're nearing the end of the most intensely overlaid transitional period of the Pisces-to-Aquarius astrological era shift.
But see all this retrograding? We're not there yet. We've got one last winter of our discontent ahead of us before Jupiter and Uranus re-plant the flag in Aries. And the grasping, clinging Neptunian siren songs combined with Venus retrograde in Scorpio luring us back into sticky, tricky old habits, patterns and emotional weaknesses is going to require all our awareness.
The November 5 New Moon in Scorpio happens at 13 degrees of the sign, the exact location to the degree of the Venus in Scorpio retrograde station earlier this month. A new expression of Scorpio in relationship is ripe for the unfolding - especially related to the hidden power dynamics and energy exchanges between men and women and the masculine and feminine. Sexual exchanges. Emotional and energy healing. Giving energy where and when it's needed most. Soul resources versus physical resources. Self-esteem and self-worth in relationship and out. Making sure that our best energy given is reciprocated in kind - or leaving the situations once and for all.
The November 5 Scorpio New Moon kicks off a series of six New Moons all at 13 degrees of the signs from November to April of 2011 (in Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces and Aries). Lucky 13, baby.
You'll notice the series ends with a New Moon in Aries next April when the Sun, Moon, Mercury retrograde, Jupiter and Uranus will all be in Aries. Here's our grand-scale fresh start and movement fully into the new territory initiated by the Cardinal T-squares this past summer.
But as I said, with Jupiter and Uranus back in tail-end Pisces and a whole lot of retrograding going on in the skies, we're not there yet, and these potent lunar cycles show us what we need to do before we get there. At the tail end of Pisces, what we have to do is quite involved.
The number 13 has a complex history and is considered a powerful and often karmically-encrusted number. There are 13 Full Moons in a year, so that's one facet of it. But we're heading into Hallowe'en with Venus retrograde in Scorpio, and the angle that comes up for me for the number 13 is the coven-busting correlation.
From what I understand, covens could usually be sustained and kept cloaked and protected from the torch-wielding townsfolk up until the 12th member. Energetic violations and abuses that had long simmered beneath the surface were busted wide open and aired, brought to task, by the addition of the thirteenth witch.
Whether you believe that to be true, you can get a feel for the next six months, triggered by this Scorpio New Moon on the degree of Venus' retrograde station - the 13th degree of what most consider the only sign of the zodiac that can see in the dark.
There's a rhythm here with these Moons where we can intuit how far we need to take things - and not a step farther. Plenty of "Thirteenth Witch" situations are at their trigger points, especially with Ceres, Pluto and the North Node conjunct in early Capricorn.
We're dealing with restructuring power, especially between masculine and feminine, with a Saturn-serious requirement to be responsible or suffer the consequences.
Ceres has closed the gap and conjoins Pluto today on 3 degrees Capricorn - right in the thick of the Venus in Scorpio retrograde.
The North Node and Pluto are conjoined November 11. Remembrance Day in Canada - the day we remember the war dead. Fitting, I'd say, with the Pluto-North Node-Ceres conjunction.
The women of the world risk their lives and sanity bringing life onto this planet only to have it swallowed up by the male-dominated imperialist corpo-war machine.
Going forward (which is the only option) means heading right into the heart of the beast.
Plenty of corrupt, feminine-wisdom-starved structural outgrowths that are on the verge of toppling and intolerably oppressive and unjust power dynamics waiting to be broken up. But it's also much more subtle than that. The poison has worked it's way in, embedded in some very slick ways. It takes all our Scorpionic X-ray vision, listening with every fibre, to dig it out, to find the toxic pattern and disconnect. We're busting through some ancient bondage here - centuries or millennia-old grudges and bad feelings and the oppressive power dynamics that have kept us painfully pinned under it all, reliving it. We're working to break through the oppression and subtle tyranny that grows in almost all organized groups, if you really want to be honest about it - even groups of two.
Some very subtle points of justice will have their days in etheric court, triggered by these 13th degree New Moons. Old, dusty, almost-given-up-on cases will be heard and decided, and shackles released.
The tendency, of course, is for the mainstream to circle the wagons, keeping the thirteenth witch individuals far from the perimeters. Black Moon Lilith territory. But the things the thirteenth witches bring to the table, the necessary knowledge, understanding and perspective that have been severed from the whole, never go away. Without those final pieces, the whole will never be whole, what needs to be restored on this planet will never be restored. Things will always be off...way off.
Doing the deep, dark psychic surgeon work, hitting the soul-marks that release house of cards after house of cards is dangerous work - both physically and energetically. Holding understanding of the denied, unintegrated parts of human existence, the misuses of power on this planet, and bringing them to awareness time after time - striving for honesty, authenticity, integration and justice on our planet and, equally importantly, in our interpersonal relations - is not an easy task. It brings the individuals who do it under fire from those who like their houses of cards just fine, thank-you very much.
But we're not in a time when we can let these things pass. There is no more time or energy to sustain that which stifles and snuffs out the human soul.
Did I mention we've got a massive collective karmic clean-up going on at this tail-end astrological Piscean era? If you're not digging in at this point and working to clear everything popping up in your life that you possibly can - especially in relationship - you're not doing enough.
There is unfinished business here - deep, neglected emotional realities, old, habitual patterns that need to be moved through, and etheric connections that need to be put to rest. Scorpio is a sign of completions, death seeming to be the most final of completions, but in reality, that's only if you do it right. ;-)
The intuitive voice asking for our attention and diligence is sometimes so faint these days. But it will direct us if we quiet the noise and really listen. There's our task as we move through the last quarter of 2010 and these very important lunar cycles.
