Update for Patrons and Readers

This is an update I just sent out to paid patrons, and I'll post it here for all readers of Willow's Web Astrology:

Hello, WWA patrons!

Well, we certainly find ourselves in exciting times, don't we?

This is a note to thank you all for your patronage, whether you have been a long-time patron or whether you are a relatively recent patron. I appreciate it all.

True to the themes of the Venus Rx in Capricorn article I sent out in October 2021, I have lost a few patrons over the last while, and I have had to discontinue patronage on my end for some patrons, as well. This is to be expected considering the manufactured divisions that are so highly stoked in society at the moment.

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage patrons who are no longer compatible with my views to end their patronage at this time. This is said without anger or resentment. You can end your patronage freely and with no hard feelings if the time has come for that, though I do not offer refunds for patron payments already received.

The stark, Plutonic reality is this: if you are in favour of forced shots, forced masking, vax passing, and other authoritarian "lockdown" measures, you are actually in favour of my death or further injury by the medical system and pharmaceutical industry. Regardless of what side of the ideological fence you might find yourself on, people are dying and becoming disabled or otherwise injured after being coerced against their will into getting the mRNA shots. This is a fact. If you are in favour of these measures, you are creating and supporting a segregated world where people like me are discriminated against terribly on a daily basis, where people like me are being refused necessary services, including health care, where people like me are unable to work and earn a living in the public sphere, where people like me cannot participate in society, where people like me are unable to travel or even leave the country, where people like me are treated with poisonous hostility, hatred, and passive aggressiveness on a daily basis by terribly misguided people. People are committing suicide due to the effects of these illegal mandates, and even I, accustomed to intense opposition and isolation, have to struggle mightily to maintain mental and emotional health under these conditions.

You may recall that I am a pharmaceutical-injured person with permanent debilitation from an antibiotic deemed "perfectly safe" by the medical system and pharmaceutical industry for 30 years, all while killing hundreds of thousands of people and injuring millions worldwide. The Machine does not care that I would be killed or further disabled by these mRNA shots, and I'm well aware of that fact. The Machine does not care that I would be harmed by the wearing of a mask, and I'm well aware of that fact, too.

In light of all this, I cannot ethically accept patronage from people who align with those who are making me and so many others around the world into second class citizens simply because we exert our bodily autonomy and live by our own consciences. I cannot offer my heartfelt work to people who are in favour of my further injury or degradation in society. That's just bad energy all the way around.

Again, this is a matter-of-fact statement on my part with no anger or malice attached to it. I think it's important to be clear and transparent in these times, and this statement is an attempt toward that clarity and transparency as Mercury forms an exact conjunction to Pluto on Friday, February 11.

I wish you strength and good guidance in these times and always.

Sincerely,

Willow

Become a WWA Patron; Get Good Stuff.

I'm not trying to sell you on this, but now is a really banging time to become a Willow's Web Astrology patron.

All new patrons will receive the most recent patron article, "The Saturn in Capricorn Transit is Kicked Off With a Six-Planet Stellium," a super juicy number covering themes for the upcoming Capricorn stellium, as well as a stellium in Aquarius in 2021.

Until December 31, 2017, new patrons will also receive the main Saturn in Capricorn article, "Saturn in Capricorn: An Astrological Overview for Long-Term Strategic Planning," as a bonus. This article is 7,000+ words and intensively covers the aspects and challenges of the three-year Saturn in Capricorn transit.

So until the end of 2017, new patrons receive two very substantial patron articles right off the bat ($22.50 purchased separately), both of which provide an astrological view that carries us forward over the next few years on Planet Earth.

I'm also coming up on the 10-year anniversary for this site in February, and there will likely be a fun draw or two for the patrons in celebration of that and to thank them for their support. New patrons would have a chance to enter draws for nice WWA products, also.

Please understand that nothing on this blog is free. It all takes time, energy, and effort to craft. It draws on tens of thousands of hours of education, study, experience, and observation over 20 years in the fields of sociology, journalism, media, astrology, metaphysics, activism, natural health, and others.

Writing is work. Journalism is work. Astrology is work. Activism is work.

It's all work. Not a hobby. Not a charity. Not a fun and entertaining past-time.

Patronage allows me to post more "free" content on the blog throughout the year, and it also allows me to continue with activist/journalist efforts, which, while unpaid, are important and very energy-consuming.

As newspapers are closed and mainstream media becomes consolidated by and filtered through fewer and fewer people/corporations, independent sites like Willow's Web Astrology are important for the type of soulful reporting and laying-bare-of-truth via the astrological framework that you will not find elsewhere.

As mentioned, I'm coming up on my 10-year anniversary for this site in February 2018. If you've been reading here over the years and finding valuable insight and perspective, please consider becoming a patron. You will not only have access to highly juicy patron articles (I had to go rogue to get the photographs for the last article!), you will be providing value in return for value you have received. A fair exchange.

I can't guarantee how much work I will be able to offer for "free" on the blog in this new year, but patronage does help me to continue doing this work amidst the challenging conditions of the times.

You can become a patron for as little as 35 bucks per year. This is in Canuck funds, so that will be around $28 US. (I'm not sure of currency conversion rates for other currencies, but let's hope the Canadian dollar is weak in the face of your own towering currency!)

Happy Solstice 2017, WWA readers, patrons, and customers! Keep on keeping on with your fine selves.

A Happily Uranian Holiday Season

 Santa's Beach House!

This appears to be a very Uranian holiday season, as we experience yet another era-shift shake-up in our relations with others (particularly family).

We generally come into closer contact with the people in our lives during the holidays, and this close contact illuminates the path we need to take in order to get out of some classic karmic emotional pits related to this time of year.

The holidays aren't necessarily warm and cozy and wonderful for everyone, and this strong Uranian energy suggests that we can make some changes to address that fact this year.

The astrological Aquarian era is about creating fluid, common sense rules and structures that work for the individuals involved, rather than forcing people to fit within rigid, pre-set ways of doing things.

As we move through the holidays and close out the year 2016, the planet leading the way into the new astrological era, Uranus, is stationing direct at 20 degrees Aries (exact station December 28), and this body's erratic, up-and-down, off-and-on energy permeates the holiday scene.

There is a little agitation here, and for good reason.

This is an excerpt from the article, "A Happily Uranian Holiday Season." It is available in its entirety to Willow's Web Astrology patrons.

The Patrons of Willow's Web Astrology

The underlying idea for patronage of Willow's Web Astrology is: a currency exchange. Value given for value received.

If you regularly find valuable insight and information from Willow's Web Astrology, a patronage is a way of offering value in return for that insight and information. This keeps things balanced, it keeps things fair, and it ensures that this source of valuable astrology and analysis does not become depleted. It ensures that the astrology keeps flowing from a deep, deep source.

If you are a patron, the underlying idea is that you want Willow's Web Astrology to continue, and this includes as a business.

There is an old school Piscean-era idea (now less and less relevant) that "spiritual work" should be done for free. The idea is that if you charge for your work, you are something of a scheister, a charlatan, or a swindler.

I simply have to call bullshit on that one.

Many of us doing "spiritual" work (I just call it work, by the way) must pay the same rents, the same bills, and the same expenses as those doing "less spiritual" work. (Honestly, you can see how characterizing some work as "spiritual" and some as "less spiritual" is fairly ridiculous, can't you?)

I don't live in a monastery. I don't live in a convent. I don't live in an ashram. I don't have a parsonage provided for me.

I don't have an organization to provide the basics of living to me. I provide those for myself.

It's come to my attention that some occasional readers are not aware of this fact, but astrology is my full-time business. Willow's Web Astrology is a business, and I work as a professional astrologer. I run this business according to metaphysical rules as much as by rules of the physical plane, but it is a business nonetheless.

I would never ask anyone to work for free. So why would people expect me to?

I would never expect people to charge less than their work is worth. But for some reason, my work, by its very nature, is often devalued.

A patronage is meant to cover the totality of what is provided by Willow's Web Astrology in a 365-day period.

The idea of a patronage should not be how much extra you can get from Willow for your patronage amount.

The idea is that you are paying for the value you receive organically, without demanding anything more than what naturally comes to you.

I can only write what comes through me to write. I can't force the issue, or it could have dangerous results for me and for readers. With this blog, it has to be quality over quantity.

If you do not find that you are receiving the full value for your patronage amount, I'm sorry to hear that, but it's your responsibility to determine that and to cancel your patronage if this is the case. Astrological tastes can certainly shift over the years, and it is not uncommon for people to move on from an astrology blog, including from mine.

There are certain articles - particularly detailed, energy-intensive, and in-depth articles - for which I must charge an additional fee. This means, even if you are a much-appreciated patron of Willow's Web, you will not necessarily receive every article I write for that patronage amount. There may be the odd article that everyone has to pay for, patrons included.

I'm very highly tuned to what's fair. I'm a Libra Sun, after all. I will not charge for an article unless I know it's the right thing to do and unless I have to. If I know it's the right thing to do, however, it's fully sanctioned both on this Earth and off, and no one else has a say in it.

I thank all patrons of Willow's Web Astrology and all customers who purchase my articles. Without you, this site would not have continued - at least, not with most of the content being provided for "free."

But I also have to ensure that people are becoming patrons for the right reasons.

If you feel you aren't getting your money's worth, if you're angry that I charge for some of my work, if you're miffed that you have to pay to get full articles, or if you resent the fact that I must make a living running my business, I would kindly ask you to reconsider your patronage. There is no anger or hard feelings on my part. It's just that I only want the right energy coming in in the form of currency.

I'm doing nothing below board here. I do not feel guilty for charging what I charge. I feel that the amounts I charge for readings, for patronages, and for additional articles are fully reasonable. I have a niche audience, and please believe me when I say: I'm not getting rich doing this. Far from it. But I do need to make a basic living if I am to continue this work.

It doesn't matter to me what other astrologers are doing. I'm not other astrologers. And contrary to what some nasty pieces of work have suggested over the years, you will not find my particular brand of astrology or astrological analysis elsewhere. It's unique in the true sense of the word.

Knowing that, I will not abuse my position. I will never keep anyone on the hook or charge an excessive amount for my work.

I'm from good, old, working class prairie stock, and I understand the value of a (non-inflated) hard-earned dollar. I understand that many are going through tough financial times now. But I also understand that under the current systems people can't work for free, especially when that work is top quality and energy-intensive.

I run my business in a way that I feel is fair. I charge the smallest amount I feel is fair for the energy, time, and effort I've put out. Case closed.

I thank you for your support of Willow's Web Astrology, both financial and energetic.

I also thank those who have left wonderful comments on the site over the years, as these have provided necessary encouragement to continue through tough times.

I want Willow's Web Astrology to be a feel good enterprise with no underlying resentments or hard feelings involved.

Please know that I do my very best to provide astrological guidance and insight for these times. But I can only do my best. I can only do what is in my power to do.

The same is true for astrology readings. I do my absolute best with every reading that comes in to me. I give each one my full attention and focus, and I do the reading with the intention that it will help the individual, that it will provide the information and insight the person needs at that time (which is sometimes different from the information and insight he or she wants at that time!).

If Willow's Web Astrology is no longer doing it for you, there may be another astrologer out there who would.

No one is stuck in this Willow's Web. You are all free to come and go as your soul sees fit.

My love and gratitude to my comrades.

Peace out.
