Post-Holiday Alkalizing Avocado Salad Dressing

I hope you have all been enjoying your solstice/Christmas/holidays! This is the time of year when there are so many delicious treats to savour and share with family and friends. I can't eat any of those delectables anymore (thanks a lot, Bayer), but I certainly cherish my memories of holidays past and the celebratory foods that went with them.

One issue that can pop up during or after the holidays is excess acidity in the body. Sugar, flour, alcohol, coffee/tea, meat, and dairy (basically all the good stuff) are all acidic, and consuming these things too often or in too great a quantity can create health stress.

(I know a lot of people have denounced the benefits of eating an alkaline-heavy diet, but I absolutely experience ill effects when I consume too many acidic foods without enough alkaline foods to balance them off. So I'm going to thumb my nose at those people and proceed...)

Due to the ill effects of fluoroquinolone poisoning, I'm on a steady diet of salads, which is one way to keep your digestive system on the alkaline side while also keeping blood sugar levels in check. But I have to say, I was getting extremely tired of my standard olive oil/lemon juice/apple cider vinegar dressing.

I'm not an imaginative (or a particularly talented) cook, so I was really happy when I figured out a new and super easy alkaline salad dressing recipe. I thought I would share in case you'd like to employ it as you come out of the blissful haze of holiday indulgences! I don't measure the ingredients, and I don't use a food processor to make it - why clean a food processor when you can use a whisk?

A Stellium on the "Master Builder" Degree of Capricorn Kicks Off this New Decade

Saturn-Pluto conjunction at 22 degrees Capricorn on January 12, 2020 in a stellium with the Sun, Ceres, and Mercury, along with Jupiter - click to enlarge

The Sun enters Capricorn on December 21 (8:19 p.m. PST), marking winter solstice in the northern hemisphere and the beginning of Capricorn season. Winter solstice is always a celebratory date to observe in Canada, as it marks "the shortest day," and daylight hours begin to lengthen soon following this yearly marker.

This year's solstice is followed by a Christmas Day New Moon at 4 degrees Capricorn (9:13 p.m.) which will be conjunct Greater Benefic Jupiter, officially launching us into Capricorn season.

True to the Jupiterian astrological marker, this Capricorn season is a big one!

It involves a massive stellium of bodies in Capricorn (Jupiter, the Sun, Mercury, Ceres, Saturn, and Pluto, along with the South Node of the Moon), including the historic conjunction of Saturn and Pluto at 22 degrees Capricorn on January 12, 2020.

As you can see in the chart above, Earth Mother dwarf planet Ceres will be exactly conjunct Saturn and Pluto at 22 Capricorn at the time of the Saturn-Pluto conjunction. The Sun and Mercury will also form exact conjunctions to Saturn and Pluto on this degree around that time.

This indicates a bit of a "getting serious and taking stock" moment as we survey our progress over the past year and over the past decade while preparing for new responsibilities up ahead. We're solidifying current positions while simultaneously contemplating new vistas that are opening to us.

Jupiter in Capricorn: Experiencing Encouraging Progress Even Amidst Highly-Discouraging Planetary Conditions

"Jupiter in Capricorn: Experiencing Encouraging Progress Even Amidst Highly-Discouraging Planetary Conditions" is an article available to Willow's Web Astrology patrons.

This article outlines aspects and themes of the year-long Jupiter in Capricorn transit. The transit will come to a close with a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction at zero degrees Aquarius at winter solstice 2020.

Jupiter in Capricorn - December 2, 2019 to December 19, 2020

Jupiter retrograde - May 14 to September 12, 2020 from 27 degrees to 17 degrees Capricorn

"Look at a stone cutter hammering away at his rock, perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred-and-first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not the last blow that did it, but all that had gone before."

Jupiter in Capricorn and the Truth About the Forced Vaccine Agenda

- Art by Ricardo Mira -

Luck, expansion, and wisdom planet Jupiter enters Capricorn for a year-long transit on December 2.

Between December 2, 2019 and May 14, 2020, Jupiter will move through almost the entire sign of Capricorn (0 to 27 degrees) before turning retrograde.

Jupiter last transited Capricorn from December 2007 to January 2009. That coincided with Pluto's initial ingress of Capricorn on January 26, 2008 and the first year of its transit through the sign of the sea-goat.

Now, Jupiter is back in the sign, throwing its cosmic spotlight on the murky wake that has been left by the Lord of the Underworld since 2008, enlarging and expanding the themes that have been dug up during Pluto's transit of Capricorn.

Shedding light on the illegitimate power and abuses (Pluto) of the corporate oligarchy (Capricorn) is certainly high on Jupiter's priority list.

From the upcoming patron article on the Jupiter in Capricorn transit:

"During this transit, we will see an increased focus on principles and ethics (Jupiter) in business and institutions (Capricorn), along with a glaring spotlight shining on the deplorable lack of these things in many of the more powerful and lauded positions on our planet...

This Jupiter transit will expand or "blow up" many of the issues that have been simmering throughout the Pluto in Capricorn transit (2008 to present) regarding illegitimacy in our power structures and corruption that has been built right into the function of our businesses, corporations, banks, and societal institutions."

New Zine: Mercury-Black Moon Lilith Contacts, Censorship, and Reporting From the Fringes

The 4-degree Sagittarius New Moon this morning (7:05 a.m. PST) indicates a lunar month that provides new openings for truth! (I sure hope so.)

The New Moon occurred in a conjunction to female warrior asteroid Pallas Athene, and this particularly indicates an unfolding of events related to the ongoing strategic battle (Pallas Athene) to get the truth out (Sagittarius).

In light of this astrological context, I'm happy to release into the world a new Willow's Web Astrology zine. Fitting for the Jupiter-influenced lunar month, this is the biggest zine I've ever produced at a whopping 48 pages.

What happens when you repeatedly have your perspective pushed out of the collective discourse?

What do you do when the information you're laying down keeps getting censored and rejected?

Why, you write a zine about it, of course!

"Mercury-Black Moon Lilith Contacts, Censorship, and Reporting from the Fringes" is a 48-page zine that outlines a history of being censored throughout my career as a journalist, writer, and artist in both mainstream and alternative circles.

This zine is an illustrative tale that shows an ongoing filtering of media and art to produce a very cleansed and skewed version of reality with no risk of anyone ever being disturbed or offended (despite the highly-disturbing and offensive matters going on daily on this planet).

I connect the censorship experiences to a hard Mercury-Black Moon Lilith aspect in the natal chart, although you do not need to know anything about astrology to read this zine.

Included in this zine is reporting and photo-journalism from the Free Trade Area of the Americas protest in Quebec City in 2001.

This zine is $6 plus postage, and it can be found at the Willow's Web Astrology Etsy shop

Neptune in Pisces Stations Direct with New Spiritual Support On its Way As We Navigate the Material Plane

Ethereal Neptune stations direct at 15 degrees Pisces on November 27 (4:32 a.m. PST) in a tight trine aspect to Mercury in Scorpio.

Winged messenger Mercury went direct today (11:12 a.m.) after its own retrograde period, which was covered extensively in the most recent patron article.

These astrological markers indicate strong themes related to spiritual communication, divine connection, and fated contacts.

Neptune is now back where it was in March 2019, and so is Saturn in Capricorn, so we could be picking up on some threads from that time pertaining to where we hoped and dreamed we'd be right now (Neptune) versus the reality of where we actually find ourselves (Saturn)!

When a planet appears to slow in the zodiac to station either retrograde or direct, there is often a noticeable concentration of that planet's energy and themes.

In this case, as Neptune puts on the brakes and then appears to move direct again in its domicile sign of Pisces, we may find ourselves being visited by the Seven Neptunian Dwarves: Sleepy, Dreamy, Dopey, Spacey, Foggy, Swirly, and Wispy.

Read more about Neptune Stationing Symptoms.

Neptune is the planet associated with, among other things: dreams; spiritual communication and guidance; psychic abilities; hauntings; isolation; illusions; delusions; mental illness; the unconscious; sublime artistic ability; surreality; escapism; rose-coloured glasses; oceans; fluids; flooding; permeation; blind spots, smokescreens; fraud; deception; and addictions.

I Do Believe I Called Out This "Generational Divide" Crap Way Back in 2011...

Is anyone else finding the "Millennial versus Boomer" showdown a little predictable? And maybe a little boring?

And now apparently, Gen Z is mocking Gen X

(Are we not at the point of media-amped ridiculousness with all this?)

I do believe I called out the manipulation of the generational divides way back in 2011.

Pluto in Scorpio = "Millennials"

Pluto in Leo = "Boomers"

From December 15, 2011: "Don't Believe Your Own Astrological Press. (Pluto in Scorpios, This Especially Relates To You Right Now.)"

"A little astrological prediction: I have a feeling the Pluto in Scorpio generation is going to start getting a disproportionate amount of play by astrologers in the near future. This will coincide with members of the Pluto in Scorpio generation (born roughly November 1983 to November 1995) reaching the ages where they will be taking a stronger interest in astrology and astrological information. It'll be one of those "creating your own mythology" types of things where the reality doesn't quite live up to the hype being outlined astrologically.

This echoes the disproportionate amount of play another Pluto generation has received - the Pluto in Leos. The Pluto placements of these two generations, not coincidentally, square each other, adding to the drama.

We've barely started the long, hard shift in power from Pluto in Leos to Pluto in Virgos, and instead of giving that shift some much needed attention and analysis, astrologers will be (and already are) turning their attention to the Pluto in Scorpio generation: its catalytic power, its transformative potential, how it's going to annihilate social taboos, how it'll absolutely shred every ounce of social facade or personality-level b.s., leaving bloody, raw, yet authentic! souls in its wake.

Personally, I'm not so sure about all that, and I have some issues with any Pluto generation being set up as the all-conquering, mythical generation.

Uranus in Taurus and the Farmer/Rancher/Rural Rebellion (2018 to 2026)

Cattle on my family ranch
Photos: Willow, excluding the photo of the hail, which is used with permission

The Moon grows full at 19 degrees Taurus exactly conjunct asteroid Vesta Rx in Taurus and opposite the Sun and Mercury Rx in Scorpio in the early hours of November 12 (5:34 a.m. PST).

The Moon is exalted in the earthy and grounded sign of Taurus. The cycles of the Moon play out like clockwork, just like the nature-based rhythms of agrarian Taurus. It's a lovely match.

The Moon relates to the public, to the populace, and particularly to the emotional state of the populace. Under this Taurus Full Moon, we have illuminated for us a full-out worldwide rebellion of rural people, ranchers, farmers, resource-based workers, and those who have a life on the land running through their blood.

The Taurus Moon forms a conjunction to Uranus Rx at 4 degrees late tonight (11:10 p.m.), and this Uranian rebellion energy is carried into the lunar peak.

The exact conjunction between the Full Moon and asteroid of hearth and home Vesta, retrograde in Taurus, indicates strong themes involving resources and soul-level investments. We've put years, lifetimes, into our material anchors on this Earth, into maintaining a life connected to the natural cycles and rhythms of this Earth. There's a lot at stake here, and we're not letting these resources and investments be stolen from us without a fight.

Mercury Goes Retrograde in Scorpio Conjunct Venus on All Hallow’s Eve: A Deep Dive into the Mental Netherworld

What follows is an excerpt from the 5,000-word article, "Mercury Goes Retrograde in Scorpio Conjunct Venus on All Hallow’s Eve: a Deep Dive into the Mental Netherworld," that is available in its entirety to Willow's Web Astrology patrons

If you regularly find Willow's Web Astrology valuable, consider becoming a patron. Patrons receive in-depth astrological articles to their email inboxes that are not available on the public blog.

- Mercury in Scorpio: October 3 to December 9, 2019  -

- Mercury retrograde: October 31 to November 20 from 27 degrees to 11 degrees Scorpio -

As We Enter the Dark Half…

We’ve just entered Scorpio season, as the Sun moved into the sign of sex, death, regeneration, healing, secrets, research, and power on October 23 at 10:20 a.m. PDT.

The Sun and Moon come together in exact conjunction at 4 degrees Scorpio on October 27 (8:38 p.m.), marking a New Moon that drops the bottom out in certain ways. The Scorpio New Moon falls in exact opposition to Uranus Rx in Taurus, and this adds a wild card element to the following lunar cycle, which spans from October 27 to November 26. Emotional shocks, changes, or surprises are on the docket that we must gradually integrate into our psyches. Emotional intelligence is a huge boon for this lunar cycle, as is an already well-developed understanding of what lies beneath the surface.

Pluto Stationing Direct in Capricorn Conjunct Saturn and Resisting Everyday Fascism

Lord of the Underworld Pluto stations direct at 20 degrees Capricorn on October 2 (11:39 p.m. PDT) within a conjunction to Cosmic Daddy Saturn, and patriarchal bureaucratic hierarchy's got us down!

Even recognizing the invisible, top-down, coercive hand of Everyday Fascism in the functioning of mainstream society is challenging and exhausting, let alone resisting it while using our own steely wills to chart a different course.

But recognizing and resisting this Everyday Fascism and then choosing a different course through our daily lives is exactly the challenge that has been laid at our feet under the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn (exact in January 2020).

The rigid, artificial rhythms for daily work and life that have been set out for us are internalized by most at a very young age. We're born into it. This is just "what's normal." It's "what's done." It's "the way things are."

The Machine tells us: when to wake up, when to eat or drink, when to get in our cars or on our buses or trains, when to start work, when to stop work, when to take a 15-minute break from work, when to speak (and what to say), when not to speak (and what not to say), when to take a piss, when to pay our bills, when to take our allotted leisure time, when to be entertained, when to have sex, when to go to sleep. Then rinse and repeat.

Above all, The Machine tells us: faster, faster! More slick! More efficient! More impressive! Just more!

Can't rest. Can't slow down. Can't re-direct. Can't stop. Can't show signs of weakness with the wolves at our doors.

The Mutable T-Square Effect and Putting Our Truth Into Practical Action

Expansion planet Jupiter, strong in its own sign, stationed direct at 14 degrees Sagittarius on August 11 - the same day revolution-or-bust planet Uranus went retrograde at six degrees Taurus.

With Jupiter still very slow in the zodiac, we are experiencing a concentration of themes involving the Sagittarian subjects of philosophy, knowledge, beliefs, and truth.

The Cosmic Spotlight is shining a particularly intense light on what we believe and what we know to be true, which may require us to stand in our own beliefs and truth even if this is not popular with others.

With Jupiter direct traveling over degrees it has previously traversed until November 7, we're making a renewed commitment to living our truth, something we've been coming into more fully since Jupiter first entered Sagittarius in November 2018. This sounds simple but is actually quite a complex process with many hard angles to navigate.

In many ways, this is a quiet truth, a quietly guiding truth, that lifts us up and over the corruption, deceit, manipulation, and general wrongheadedness that characterizes so much of (manufactured) human society these days. It's a truth we can cling to while surrounded by upsetting falsity.

Dystopian Flames Zine in the Mount Royal University Zine Collection

Dystopian Flames: The True Cost of Oil Production on the Canadian Prairies zine is now available in the Mount Royal University zine collection in Calgary, Alberta.

A man from the university found the zine online and purchased two copies for the collection.

I lived in Calgary for six years, which they call "the city that oil built," so to have this zine in a university zine collection in that city is a bit of a coup. Very cool and unexpected! I'm happy to spread the word about this terribly dangerous and toxic practise, going on in my home area of Saskatchewan and all over the prairies. This is certainly a practise that needs to come to a swift end before more people, animals, and environments are harmed.

Dystopian Flames was a companion zine, written in early 2019, for a photography exhibit I did at my local library.

Mercury Direct and a New Moon in Leo Bring Eclipse Season to an End With a Bang

Photos: Willow

Communication and intelligence planet Mercury is slowing for a direct station at 23 degrees Cancer on August 1 (3:58 a.m. PDT) opposite Pluto, just as we open into a Leo-infused lunar cycle with an 8-degree Leo New Moon on July 31 (8:12 p.m.) conjunct Venus.

This astrological context indicates a quick gear change as we enter August that will close out our summer eclipse season with a bit of a bang.

Leo is one of the most fun signs in the zodiac, and we're opening into a lunar cycle strongly coloured by this fun, fixed, fire sign energy with a New Moon (Sun and Moon), Venus, Mars, and Juno in Leo. Mercury will also be back in Leo from August 11 to 28.

From a previous article

"Leo is flashy, bold, confident, stylin'.

Leo has star power, even if it's just local celebrity.
Leo is about the tremendous power of art and music and creativity and style and fun and personality and pizzazz to join us all, beaming, at the heart.

It's the power of an old drinking song, it's the power of an old gospel song, it's the power of an old classic that everyone knows the words to.

Leo is hot, there's no doubt about it."

Get ready for some summer sizzle, amped up even further by the strong influence of love, beauty, and sensuality planet, Venus, on this lunar cycle...

A Late Scorpio Full Moon: No War With Iran, and No War on Earth. Not Now, and Never Again.

The Moon is full in Scorpio, the sign of its detriment. This is both an unsettled and an unsettling Moon. This is a Moon that sheds light on the darkest of intentions, on the dirtiest of allegiances, on the most hidden of motivations. This is a Moon-mother that prepares us for the trials up ahead. It doesn't sugarcoat things. It doesn't pretend or deny. It emotionally acclimatizes us to the darker elements of life on this Earth, helping us to get comfortable with even the most uncomfortable of emotional and psychological realities. It illuminates previously-hidden nuances, aiding our intuition as we feel around in the dark. This is a Moon-mother that comforts us with the understanding that we can get through even this, that people always have gotten through. This is the Moon of ancestors. They had the grit to make it through tough times, and so, of course, do we. This Moon provides validation on that point.

Under this Scorpio Full Moon, the psychopaths who call themselves our leaders are puffing themselves up and making themselves important via plans for a new and vicious war attack.

Uranus is the planet of the unexpected, you see. But with the past two Uranus ingresses have come the all-too-reliable unleashing of violence, death, misery, and destruction by the powers-that-be on the people.

With the change in signs of Uranus has come the roll-out of a new version of Hell on Earth:

Uranus enters Pisces in 2003. The horrific invasion of Iraq and mass slaughter of Iraquis (either quickly through direct attack or slowly through economic sanctions) under false pretenses.

Uranus enters Aries in 2011. The illegal bombing of Libya, murder of Libyans, and assassination of the country's leader. Simultaneously, the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan as covert nuclear warfare and the immediate murder of thousands of people with the tsunami.

Uranus enters Taurus in 2019. A well-publicized intent by the U.S. of A. to send 120,000 troops to the Middle East with Iran, in particular, in its sights. This is being called "reminiscent of the invasion of Iraq."

The Uranus in Taurus Transit and Orchestrated War Attacks Involving Nuclear (Uranus) and Banking (Taurus)

I've reported previously on orchestrated, U.S.-led war attacks that have been carried out around the time of Uranus ingresses.

Uranus is a planet associated with unexpected events and trauma-based shock. It appears that the symbology and energy of Uranus are being drawn upon to create "surprise attacks" by the establishment that have actually been long pre-planned.

The invasion and attack against Iraq/Saddam Hussein was carried out by the U.S. and NATO forces in March 2003 as Uranus ingressed Pisces.

Then in March 2011 as Uranus ingressed Aries, the illegal bombing of Libya was carried out by the same forces. The Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan was, I believe, a covert nuclear attack that was carried out at the same time.

From the March 11, 2019 article, "Chiron in Aries and Uranus in Taurus Mark the 8th Anniversary of the Ongoing Fukushima Nuclear Disaster":

"We know that for the past two Uranus ingresses that occurred around March equinox, there were orchestrated "surprise" war attacks involving uranium.

I believe Fukushima was an act of covert nuclear warfare (uranium/Uranus) timed to occur on the day that Uranus re-entered Aries - March 11, 2011. The 11th is a date that has been used numerous times for orchestrated events for its numerological significance.

Venus Conjunct Uranus, Open Mic Censorship, and the Apolitical Arts Scene

Venus (arts) is currently conjunct Uranus (sudden events, upheaval, community, radical), and a 15-year-old from a cover band just tried to censor me at an open mic that I was instrumental in organizing and promoting.

I couldn't make this stuff up at this point.

This was the third open mic we had put on. I was an original organizer and put many, many (unpaid) hours into organizing, promoting, social media, local media, liaising with the public library, photography, videography, and even the writing and creation of a 40-page Open Mic Nights Zine to be sold to raise funds for the open mic.

In fact, I'll blow my own horn here and say that I'm the reason this open mic has gotten organized so quickly and efficiently and why it has been running so well. I was the driver, so to speak. I've also been very supportive and encouraging of all the performers involved, and I've encouraged newbies to join us despite their nerves, as well. IE. lots of emotional energy has been expended, as well as physical/intellectual.
