The Death of Aaron Carter Digs Up Disturbing New Threads Stemming from the Jupiter in Scorpio Transit

The South Node of the Moon has been transiting deep, dark Scorpio (opposite the North Node of the Moon in Taurus) since January 18, 2022. The Nodes of the Moon will continue in these signs until July 17, 2023.

During this transit (January 2022 to July 2023), the personal planets in Scorpio form a single series of conjunctions to the South Node, and these conjunctions are occurring right now - during the first two weeks of November 2022. This makes the time ripe for things to come to the surface that have been hidden, denied, or glossed over.

Scorpio is a sign related to secrets, lies, cover-ups, sexuality, abuse, and death, among other things. It is a sign that indicates, "There's more to this than meets the eye." Scorpio as a sign indicates dense, complex, layered, and often manipulated scenarios where we must dig to get to the truth, to the core reality. Scorpio is related to power dynamics, including corrupt or abusive uses of power.

Scorpio is the investigator, the detective, and the researcher of the zodiac, and when Scorpio is strongly highlighted, as it is now, we are often required to traipse through very dark areas of humanity and of society in order to achieve a fuller awareness of what's going on, of what's harming us and others.

As the South Node of the Moon is activated by the personal planets in the first half of November 2022, the Sun, Mercury, and Venus are also activating the final square aspect between Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. These aspects create a fixed T-square configuration where energy is directed into the fourth leg of the formation, which is Leo. The sign of Leo is associated with actors, performers, and fame, including Hollywood and the corporate music industry.

Now I will say, since the early days of this blog, I've intentionally avoided the truly depraved worlds created by The Fame Machine. I have no interest in fame, and I do not wish to place my attention or energy on "celebrities" of any kind. This Plutonic punk astrologer intentionally avoids the Blue Checks of the world. There is certainly some "click bait" worthiness to astrology that covers celebrities, but click bait has never been my goal.

That said, with Jupiter (truth) retrograde on the final degree of the zodiac (29 Pisces), there are some threads being plucked now that show us how the whole web works together, how seemingly isolated events actually fit together like puzzle pieces. Jupiter is tapping this astro-reporter on the shoulder at the moment, asking for some illumination of the things currently under the Cosmic Spotlight. So how can I refuse?

Under the oh-so-intense energy of the fixed T-square configuration, it was announced through media that Aaron Carter, musician and younger brother of Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, was found dead in his bathtub in Los Angeles on the morning of November 5, 2022.

Aaron Carter's death strikes me as one more suspicious death in a string of suspicious deaths involving people who were privy to the pedophilia, sexual abuse, and ritualistic abuse prevalent in Hollywood and corporate music.

Venus Retrograde in Scorpio: the Re-Valuing of Astrology and the Mad Scorpio Skillz

I work at a couple casual jobs to supplement my astrology practise and writing, and I discovered that my Scorpio co-worker enjoys astrology. I sent her a copy of her birth chart and told her a few things about it, and she surprised me with this beautiful pottery mug as a thank you. I was delighted and a little amazed. This might seem like a small thing, but it was actually a somewhat profound experience for me. It's quite rare to come across a person who truly values astrology and astrological insight in my physical (non-online) life.

Unfortunately, real astrology and astrological work continue to be chronically de-valued within most of society, even as "sound byte" pop astrology surges in popularity. I talked a little about that phenomenon in this video: "What is Astrology?"

Many people who do appreciate and utilize astrology maintain it as a "dirty little secret" in their lives for fear of judgment in a society that brands astrologers and people who "believe in" astrology as kooks or at the very least as silly and naive.

("I don't believe in astrology. I use it because it works." - Antero Alli)

This kind gesture and act of recognition from my Scorpio co-worker reminded me of one of the best qualities of Scorpio - the ability to suss out the neglected, the under-valued, the put upon, the languishing, and to feed it some desperately-needed energy and support, to inject new life. This is one of the most magical and under-recognized abilities of the sign of Scorpio.

This mutual exchange between me and my co-worker was one of the good Figure 8 dynamics associated with the sign. And I like it. I like it a whole lot.

Venus entered Scorpio this morning, and we now start to get down to brass tacks as far as the meaning and themes of the upcoming Venus retrograde in Scorpio/Libra (October 5 - November 16). With a Venus retrograde in Scorpio, along with Greater Benefic Jupiter completing its transit of the sign, the time is ripe for the re-valuing of astrology and all the Scorpionic skillz that are so often under-recognized, under-respected, and under-valued.

It's time to stop the chronic mockery and under-valuing of astrology. It's time to give astrology and real working astrologers the respect they deserve. This is only fair. And with Venus retrograding back into justice-oriented Libra, fairness is a big element of this retrograde process.

As an illustration of the insidious (and quite insane) de-valuing of astrology and astrologers, I'm re-posting an excerpt from an old article about a truly shit-tastic comment left on my blog like a steaming pile of cow dung (Scorpio/Pluto relate to excrement, too, let's not forget). I've fielded similar commentary throughout my decade+ as a professional astrologer, continuing to the present day.

There are a whole lot of assholes out there. And doesn't Venus in Scorpio know it?

Willow's Web Astrology is Plagiarized By a "Truth-Teller (TM)" Who Then Lied About It When Caught

My most recent article on Fukushima from July 28, 2018, titled, "Deconstructing the Worldwide Media Blackout on the Ongoing Fukushima Nuclear Disaster: California Wine is Just the Tip of This Radioactive Iceberg," was plagiarized by Dave Hodges of The Common Sense Show.

Hodges' version of the article was published on his own The Common Sense Show site, as well as on his show's Facebook page, on July 31, 2018. (http://www.thecommonsenseshow.com/evidence-is-mounting-that-fukushima-is-progressive-extinction-level-event/#comment-144573)

It was also published July 31, 2018 on the Before It's News site, titled, "Evidence is Mounting That Fukushima is a Progressive Extinction Level Event."

Ironically, Hodges styles himself as a "Truth-Teller (TM)," and Before It's News is a site devoted to reporting truth that has not made it onto mainstream media.

Hodges has used the exact same (quite obscure) research sources - every one of which I had to dig for extensively - in the exact same wording and sequences I used in the original article. He even references "crickets" coming from government like I did in the original. And if you click on the "400 tons of radioactively-contaminated water" hyperlink in his version (at the end of the article under "Quiet Revelations)," it goes to one of my articles on my website from May 21, 2014: "If You Are Still Eating Pacific Ocean Seafood, Now is the Time to Stop." This is just as it appeared in the original article on my site.

When I emailed Hodges about the plagiarism, requesting that he either credit me in the article or remove the content, I received this diminishing reply from him:

"In looking at your article and my article, I pulled from original sources and you did same. I also pulled from previous research I did. Your article is not worthy of notation because none of the material was original to your site. Otherwise, I would have cited it. You don't own the topic and you don't own the original sources."

This is a blatant lie. This is my original journalism and research that he is stealing and passing off as his own.

Mercury in Leo Square Jupiter in Scorpio: the Bombshell Announcement of the Elimination of Greyhound Bus and Freight Service Across All of Western Canada

Well, this is some huge (Jupiter) bad (Scorpio) news (Mercury).

As transportation and communication planet Mercury in Leo formed an exact square to stationing Jupiter (big) in Scorpio (eliminations) on July 9, it was announced that Greyhound will be eliminating all bus routes and freight service across Western Canada.

That's the vast provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. Other than one route, which will remain in British Columbia, the entirety of Western Canada, where more than 11 million people live, will have no bus service other than local service in the cities.

I don't know whether to cry, puke, or laugh at this point.

Western Canada has one of the most regressive public transportation situations in the world right now.

And who does it hurt most? The people who are already struggling hardest in this society: the poor, the elderly, the disabled, students, rural people, people who don't or can't drive.

People living in the insulated Middle-Class Bubble want to be snide and facetious about so-called "First World Problems?"

I bet most third world countries have public transportation.

There are plenty of real and hardcore problems in Canada, many involving class stratification and the invisibility/constant screwing over of the "underclasses."

But this doesn't affect one-vehicle-per-person car drivers, so who cares, right?

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

And I don't know about one of Greyhound's stated reasons - that ridership is down so extensively. The last time I took the Greyhound from Saskatchewan to B.C., it was absolutely packed with people. This is going to negatively affect so many people, I couldn't even begin to put a number on it. I'm definitely one of them.

In a way, though, the shock of this announcement has been dulled.

The announcement of the elimination of Greyhound bus - a private corporation - in Western Canada comes soon after the elimination, amidst huge protest, of the entire government-run provincial bus system in Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC).

The announcement of the elimination of STC also occurred with transportation/communication planet Mercury in a square aspect with another body - in that case Pluto.

Mercury = transportation
Pluto/Scorpio = elimination

From a previous post:

"[I]n late March 2017, just as Mercury in Aries formed a square to Pluto in Capricorn, it was announced that the neo-conservative Brad Wall government in Saskatchewan was eliminating the public bus system for the entire province in order to save one tenth of one percent of the overall budget. This was a shocking and horrifying announcement for many, including me. I literally couldn't believe that a decision this ass-headed would be allowed to go forward and wrote an article about it at the time, "The Elimination of Saskatchewan Transportation Compnay (STC) Regressive Transportation Policy Under the Mercury-Pluto Square.""

The decision by the Wall government to unceremoniously eliminate STC is particularly sickening, considering it destroyed the 70-year-old provincial bus system, which cost a measly $17 million per year to operate, while pumping $1.9 billion into a single bypass over a single Saskatchewan city - the government city of Regina where, coincidentally, the provincial legislature is located.

The bypass was poorly designed - it was not made wide enough to transport farm machinery across it in a largely agricultural province - and the bypass has also now been found to be crumbling underneath as vehicles drive across.

Already four times the original estimate, this faulty bypass is certain to cost Saskatchewan taxpayers much more.

The elimination of Greyhound in Western Canada leaves 415 people unemployed, just as the elimination of STC left 224 people unemployed.

I don't know how much worse it can get for non-drivers in Western Canada, but I won't tempt fate by saying it can't get any worse...

Some Astrological Back-up as Mars Meets Jupiter in Scorpio

Action, aggression, and desire planet, Mars, forms its one and only exact conjunction to Jupiter in Scorpio on January 6 (4:39 p.m. PST), and we're required to put some of our hard-won, deep-down knowledge and wisdom into action.

"The year-long transit of Jupiter through Scorpio brings benefit when we successfully draw on
the wisdom we've gleaned and the experience we've gathered from the more difficult and
arduous events of our lives...

"[Themes] may become particularly heated in late December 2017 and early January
2018 as transiting Mars forms its one and only conjunction to Jupiter in Scorpio, exact January 6 at 17 degrees. This potentially-inflammatory Mars-Jupiter conjunction may require us to actively reinforce new lines in the sand with others. We may have to fight (Mars) to get beneath the surface artifice to the true story. There is the potential for some aggression around the time of this conjunction, which could include some underhanded moves. Employ the X-Ray vision-wisdom to stay on top of the proceedings."

As astrological back-up, I'm offering a duo of articles on the Jupiter in Scorpio transit for a special price. (Please note: people who were patrons at the time that the articles were published have already received them.)

These are both substantial articles, offering insight into the transit of Jupiter through Scorpio, which lasts until November 2018.

For $11.25, you will receive:

"Jupiter in Scorpio: Wisdom Drawn from the Still Depths of the Soul" - the main Willow's Web Astrology article for the Jupiter in Scorpio transit, originally published September 15, 2017 with themes extending to November 2018

"Jupiter in Scorpio and Successfully Updating the Expression of Scorpio for the Aquarian Era" - originally published October 17, 2017

Jupiter in Scorpio: Going Beyond the Tip of the Plutonic Iceberg to Get to the Full Truth of the Matter

As mentioned in the Jupiter in Scorpio patron article, one theme we can expect during this transit is the blowing up (Jupiter) of sex scandals (Scorpio), particularly involving webs of power.

One of the stories blowing up in mainstream media just as Jupiter entered Scorpio (October 10) involves a group of women, including multiple well-known actresses, accusing powerful Hollywood film producer and Miramax co-founder Harvey Weinstein of sex-based crimes ranging from sexual harassment to rape. According to accusations, it seems Ole Harv expected more than just a standard screen test to get hired on his films.

At the time of the Jupiter ingress, the Sun and Mercury were conjunct in Libra (arts, beauty, justice), forming frictional squares to Pluto in Capricorn (toxic business/corporate hierarchy, toxic power dynamics).

Further developments stemming from the time around the ingress can be expected when Mercury catches up to Jupiter in early Scorpio October 18, as Venus in Libra squares Pluto October 27, and then as Mars in Libra squares Pluto November 19.

Now, one could see this as a simple Jupiter in Scorpio theme - the spectacular (Jupiter) outing of one nasty character misusing his power and prestige in heinous and sexually-based ways (Scorpio).

The truth is, though (and with Jupiter, we're going for the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth), this is just the tip of the Plutonic iceberg as far as the corrupt-to-the-core Hollywood machine.

Where Pluto or Scorpio is involved, if anything does manage to surface in the mainstream psyche (including through mainstream media coverage), it is just the beginning of the uncovering process, the initial catalyst. In order to bring about real, grand-scale change from what is exposed, we have to pick up that single thread, follow it, and keep following it: unraveling things, deconstructing things, digging, digging, digging, and seeing where it ultimately leads.

There's a relentlessness required - not often found within the glossy facades of Hollywood.

We have to be looking at all elements of corrupt power, at how the entire machine works, rather than focusing on individual scenarios as isolated events.

A Quick Shift in Social/Relational Tone As Jupiter Enters Scorpio

We have a final burst of social and relational development/expansion underway as Jupiter completes its transit of cardinal (leadership, initiatory) Libra before entering fixed (steady course, set conditions) Scorpio for a yearlong transit starting October 10.

With Venus and Mars conjunct in Virgo until mid-month, squaring Saturn in Sagittarius and opposing Chiron in Pisces, we're seeking to set just the right tone, addressing any nagging details in our relations with others that may require some attention or polishing. There's a particular focus on the way we interact/the way others interact with us in a work setting.

Practical adjustments and actions, along with pointed conversations, could alleviate some of the building mental and psychic stress indicated by these aspects.

We're working hard in a hands-on way to make things just right in the physical realm (Virgo) so that things are hunky dory in the psychic/metaphysical realms (Pisces), as well.

We're bringing the skills of the master craftsperson (Virgo) to our relationships and interpersonal dynamics (Venus/Mars). We're looking to apply our personal truth (Sagittarius) in practical, daily ways (Virgo), particularly in our relations with others. We're looking to walk our talk in relationships and social settings in a precise and straight-forward manner, fulfilling the social and work-related functions that feel right for us - nothing more, nothing less. We're looking to remove the influence of detrimental self-sacrifice, unfair projected expectations, illusions, blind spots, and inflated ideals from our relationships and interactions.

As the Sun and Mercury come together in interior conjunction at 15 degrees Libra in square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn (October 8/9), there may be some interpersonal friction or complexity urging us into our full social positions. There is a "taking charge" impetus, extending throughout the fall season, which must be balanced with the conciliatory and harmony-seeking nature of Libra. Like sand in our underwear, social irritations and points of friction can produce the impetus and motivation to propel us forward that last little bit as Jupiter completes its transit in the sign of the scales.

Conversation, information flow, the written word, and our own thoughts and perspectives (Mercury) can be particularly motivational as far as any changes that have to be made with that last bit of cardinal sign juice.

It's in our best interests - even if it's a little uncomfortable or scary - to address any nagging details or issues in our relations with others because the social and relational conditions we're in the final stages of creating now will be with us strongly over the next year as Jupiter settles in to its transit of fixed Scorpio. The social/relational course has been set, to a great extent, as Jupiter leaves Libra and enters Scorpio. The cardinal sign (Libra) initiates; the fixed sign (Scorpio) follows through with what was initiated.

Jupiter will be throwing an immediate (and I mean immediate) spotlight on the emotional and psychological subtext as it enters Scorpio. The social facade that brought us benefit during Jupiter in Libra is going to slip a little, and how people really feel underneath it all will become more apparent, especially as we move through October and November (Scorpio season). Teeth may be bared a little. Backs may get up a little.

So quickly, practically, and proactively addressing any problematic areas is in our best interests before they get blown up under Jupiter in Scorpio. Clear the slate as much as you can, even if it means gathering your courage to do so.

We have an extra layer of challenge now as far as eking out our precise social/relational positioning, as Mars in Virgo forms a square to Saturn in Sagittarius October 11 and an opposition to Chiron in Pisces October 15.

Venus in Virgo will square Saturn in Sagittarius October 8 and oppose Chiron in Pisces October 11.

As Jupiter moves from Libra to Scorpio, the dispositors (key influences) over its expansive proceedings shift from lovely Lesser Benefic Venus to hardcore mofos Mars and Pluto. So things immediately take a more Martian/Plutonic tone, and the social graces that brought us favour under Jupiter in Libra will fall flat if they are not fully authentic and honest, if they are designed to gloss over sticking points or beefs.

The Mars-Saturn square (along with the Mars opposition to Chiron) lays out an initial challenge for the Jupiter transit of Scorpio.

We may feel as if our forward-ho motion is stalled in despair-inducing ways under these aspects. We may feel as if our will is thwarted and our motion painfully restricted. There can be a feeling that any action taken is pointless or that it will not bring desired results. There can be fear related to taking any action at all, creating a feeling of being stuck in the current circumstances or problems. In my observation, the Mars-Saturn square is particularly harsh for men, unfortunately coinciding with an increased possibility of suicide, as Saturn can convince us (erroneously) that our problems will be this tough forever and that there is no way out. The Mars-Saturn square indicates "between a rock and a hard place" frustrations, but remember: any acute challenges are temporary, and things generally seem more difficult than they really are.

With Mars transiting Virgo, there are small changes, improvements, and adjustments that can move things in the right direction - albeit in a slower fashion than may be desired. Remember that there is wiggle room here - even if it doesn't feel like it. We have to keep trying.

Any wet blanket effects should ease up as we move into the second half of October.

A more Scorpionic view of the proceedings is wise...

So yes, things are taking a bit of a deeper, darker tone here as we move into the dark half of the year in the northern hemisphere. This more serious tone will then be reinforced as Saturn leaves Sagittarius for Capricorn at December solstice, followed by a six-planet stellium in Capricorn in January 2018.

This is nothing to fret over - just be aware of the quick shift in tone, and adjust accordingly, especially in your relations with others. A little more wariness, a little more space given around potential sticking points, playing your cards a little closer to your chest. Foreknowledge can help us to stay out of the interpersonal frictions (or even straight-up meltdowns) that may be stirred up as Jupiter gets its footing in Scorpio.
