By tonight when Venus enters Aries, most of the personal planets will be in the sign of the ram, clustered around Uranus, and the Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus Yod is being charged up to the max.
The Aries planets are sextile Jupiter in Gemini, forming a brash and chatty base for this Yod. This is a whole lot of young, yang energy looking for expression in a big and bold way. The Aries planets stimulating Jupiter in Gemini so intensely creates an instinctive urge to take action, to take charge of our directions, and to speak up from personal perspectives in a fairly aggressive manner.
Spring fever in the northern hemisphere is pretty much off the hook at this point after the massive Pisces stellium and harsh winter transits.
However, the finger of God or apex of this Yod is Saturn Rx in Scorpio. This becomes the navigation point of the potentially loud, over-the-top, and inflammatory energies of this formation. This indicates it's restraint, restraint, restraint that gets the job done over the next couple weeks, as well as careful withdrawal, sober second thought, strategy, grounding, conservatism, and
seriousness. Saturn Rx in yin/feminine sign Scorpio plays its cards very close to its chest, avoiding immature drama and tempting diversions. Saturn is the wise and responsible filter for all this immediate and in-your-face Aries and Gemini. Aries and Gemini are not known as the most patient signs of the zodiac, so applying some of the grumpy old man Saturn in Scorpio energy keeps these bratty astro kids under control.
The Aries and Gemini Yod base is basically going to take care of itself. Air and fire are interacting in a big way. Connections are going to be made, and new directions are going to be initiated. It's the Saturn in Scorpio energy that will need to be more consciously applied. A good dousing of the party atmosphere by Saturn in water sign Scorpio will be required at times. And don't you secretly love doing that when it's necessary? Saturn sure does.
You can read more about the two Yod formations we're currently experiencing in this extensive post on the subject: Yods, Oddness, and Awkward Social Angles Create Breakthroughs in Understanding Through April 2013
As stated, we're currently under the influence of two Yod formations. As we entered March, Jupiter in Gemini was the apex or finger of God navigation point. You can read more about that here: Jupiter in Gemini and Our Alchemical Tongues.
Now, at the end of March, things have switched, and Saturn in Scorpio is the finger of God navigation point.
Did I mention we've been under some very challenging transits this winter?
The Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus Yod formation is fully in effect now. Jupiter in Gemini is quincunx Saturn in Scorpio exactly on March 23, and it's quincunx Pluto
in Capricorn exactly on March 29.
We're also experiencing the final Jupiter in Gemini square to Chiron in Pisces at this time (exact March 27 at the Libra Full Moon), and this increases the possibility of a mentally and psychically challenging last week of March.
However, the good (Jupiter) news (Gemini) is that this is the last big stress point created by these Yod configurations. One last hurrah, and the Yods have done their thing. Mysteries will be revealed. Intricate and hidden communications networks will be unravelled. And the excessively loose lips of others can be worked to our own strategic advantage (just keep that on the up and up).
We're past the most stressful points by the first of April, so please hang in there. Jupiter in Gemini will be out of range of the quincunxes and Yods by mid-month. Even better news: We're on the home stretch of the Jupiter in Gemini transit altogether, which has certainly had its troublesome points. Jupiter moves from the sign of its detriment (Gemini) to the sign of its exaltation (Cancer) on June 26.
For now, Saturn Rx in Scorpio is our guide. Take the mature stance, the wise stance, the restrained stance. Withdraw from superficial dramas and meaningless information flow. Sit back and watch the proceedings, gather pertinent information from words and tone, and hold your own tongue unless it's required that you enter the fray.
I found out that my wonderful and beautiful friend Wendy died on March 5. She was 36.
Wendy was a Saskatchewan girl, born and raised mostly in Englefeld, Saskatchewan. I met her at the University of Regina. She was one of the fierce and fabulous creatives I used to run around with, and man, did we have some times. I remember this girl laughing, mostly.
One night, we were at the pub having a time. Our group decided it was time to go, but Wendy had just ordered a pint. Never one to waste liquor, she decided to smuggle the pint out of the pub in her purse. We arrived at her apartment a few blocks away to continue the party, and the pint had, of course, spilled all over her purse.
She wasn't worried about the purse, but she was worried about her beer-drenched smokes! The solution was to lay the cigarettes out on a cookie sheet and put them in the oven to dry.
She was a true original. Hilarious, warm-hearted, sensitive, shocking, aware, and always up for a caper. There's no one like her on this planet, and I don't think there ever will be.
She was an artist and a punk, and she lived her life like that. She knew how fucked this planet is, but she decided to just party her way through it! I will always remember her laughter, her joyful voice, her poetic nature, and her wild, curly, dark brown hair.
Wendy moved to Vancouver after university, and I hadn't seen her for many years, but I still considered her a good friend.
Her true passion was art, and she was trained in set design and painting. She was very excited to get set painting gigs. She also worked in the trades, including as a plumber.
This girl always had a boyfriend, and she lived in Vancouver with her boyfriend and cats the last time I heard.
Wendy was a beautiful soul who made this planet a better place to be for the likes of me. I love her, and I'll miss her, and I'll never forget her.
I can't believe she's gone. As it usually is.
We all love you, Wend. Safe journey on the other side.

This made me very sad. I am not one to jump for joy thru this world, I often retreat and find myself in tears more often than not. I have a Wendy who is very much alive, and I feel the need to Facebook her right now. Any loss of a young life is wrenching. She looked like a lot of fun. We do not have enough of that right now in the world and that makes me really exhausted. I love your posts and I hope you are well, Willow. Words do not suffice during the loss of a fun friend. **sigh**
Thank-you for your wishes, Ides.
And yes, you go Facebook your Wendy right now!
Dear Willow,
I offer my sincerest condolences for the loss of a "light" in your life. The world cannot afford these kinds of losses, and yet they occur. I am touched by your encouragement for those of us who are still here, facing the open mouths of the beast, within and without, to remember to take those steps, if it is our last ounce of energy that day, to reach out in some way to the women we love and let them know the energy bond is still there.
There is a lot of "busy-ness " in my life, Jupiter on my sun was a long time coming, hell week while it lasted, and is a long time going away but also, much heaviness. And I did lose my temper, finally, this afternoon before getting your post, after restraining for several weeks. Does Venus lose her temper ever? This was just the last straw with a business "partner" who HAD to have the LAST word about WHO was RIGHT. The I'm up/You're down is SO OVER. Its win-win for me from here on out or no deal. But getting to create those deals is so painstaking right now, and for my first try, this was an apparent failure.
Or, was that Venus having her last Piscean Hurrah! in my life? Venus in Aquarius, here we come. It actually felt a little like BML and Juno popping up today also. Dear, dear.
Again. My sincerest virtual hug to you dear woman, who has endured such a brutal winter and then has received such heart-breaking news.Just for you to know: I will be bold and speak for your appreciative readers: We Need YOU , Greatly, Dear Willow.
Aw, thank-you, Lea.
Yes, if you need to clear the air, you go ahead and do it! This Saturn Rx restraint is not meant to hold back progress. If something has to blow, something has to blow!
I'm thinking you're probably doing great, all things considered. And with Jupiter on your Sun, you will definitely need to pipe up at times!
Im am so sorry for your loss Willow, dont worry im not going anywhere and if i ever go to Canada you will always be the first thing i think of when i think of there since your the first light ive interacted with there. There goes my 4 house moon.. :)
Also so sorry for those stupid visitors of your moms friend. But at least u guys whooped them at cards. I just realized there was a forum. Yes im staying... Itd be very unaquarian for me not to.
Aloha Willow; Warmest Condolences. The loss you are feeling, is the polarity of the joy & growth such friends bring to us. Isn't life a funny, bitter-sweet thing?
Found you as I was researching current astrological conditions. I am one of those who cobbles my path with wide-ranging insight that finds me. Which is my way of saying that I notice astrology, but never studied it deeply from 101 on. Partly because who has time to invest in some 'teacher' who can't explain clearly? I'm usually self taught. Your material here is very well written. You don't penalize the non-specialist with ego-jargon.

Condolences. Have joined your excellent blog today. Thanks for the clear info.

We're all part of the whole, Willow. I like what Neil says:
“Recognize that the very molecules that make up your body, the atoms that construct the molecules, are traceable to the crucibles that were once the centers of high mass stars that exploded their chemically rich guts into the galaxy, enriching pristine gas clouds with the chemistry of life. So that we are all connected to each other biologically, to the earth chemically and to the rest of the universe atomically. That’s kinda cool! That makes me smile and I actually feel quite large at the end of that. It’s not that we are better than the universe, we are part of the universe. We are in the universe and the universe is in us.” Neil deGrasse Tyson
Willow, Sorry about your loss. Never easy to loose a friend. Kat
Remember how many people love you. Remember how many people count on you being on the planet, even when they don't show it to you. Even when they're thousands of miles away - literally or figuratively. Please reach out to anyone in your circle - anyone you know, period - who is struggling. Buck the individualistic trend. Be real, and be loving. That's what my friend Wendy was.
Willow - You just made me sob...that post touched my soul in so many ways. I had a friend much like Wendy.
I understand.
Much Love to All!
Bless you for this wonderful blog, dear Willow.
I'm so very sorry aboot your dear friend, Wendy. I was moved to tears by your words. And yes, you're right - unfortunately it's usually when tragedy or hard times hit that people's love and good wishes emerge - but one needs to cultivate a constant stream of this love, both for ourselves and for others, and to release judgement.
So sorry about your friend...it sounds like she really enjoyed her life this time around. Thanks for sharing...
Willow,
Condolences about your friend Wendy.
About the Yod - the Aries/Gemini energy has been encouraging me to be impulsive. Thankfully Saturn is conjunct my natal second-house Sun, giving me the "sober second thought" about unnecessary purchases. I love astrology in action!
I am in the midst of a very tough situation and was reading your most recent post to get an idea about how a crucial (and possibly life-changing) meeting will go tomorrow (march 27th --i didn't choose this date, it was imposed upon me & my son). Based on your interpretation of the astrology of tomorrow, I see that the decision made could go one way or the other.
I was feeling a strong sense of appreciation for your words -- feeling that strongly, then the last paragraph about Wendy hit me hard.
I am so very sorry for the loss of your friend. I've lost a few, key friends in my life, and the sense of loss never goes away. Made me cry to read what you wrote about Wendy.
Warm regards,
Pamela (a regular reader, a rare commenter)
Thank-you, Pamela!
Yes, I think with the Moon in Libra, things could tip either way. A lot of love from the universe is possible with the Mercury-Chiron conjunction, but there are also some underlying challenges. I hope the scales tip your way!
