How High's the Water, Mama?

Flooding 2014
Photos: Willow

She said it's three feet high and rising...

After a deluge of rain in my local area (8 - 9 inches in some areas over the past two days), my village has been evacuated due to flooding, and I will be away from my computer for a few days.

I will return emails and schedule readings and lessons as soon as possible. I'm not sure if we will have power over the next couple days or not.

There haven't been any injuries or deaths in this area - just a lot of property damage, roads and bridges, gardens and crops washed out.

It wouldn't be the last cardinal Grand Cross summer of the Uranus-Pluto square series without something dramatic going on!

The Grand Water Trine is true to form in this area.

Thanks for your patience.

Happy to see you are A-ok!

I knew you would be though, no one survives a Tornado to die in a flood.

As a former Evac....

Throwing Heart Centered Vibes to your community and your way.

Thanks, Jason!

Yep, I'm doing fine. Hoping the destruction in my village is not too terrible.

Here's for some healing sunshine your way.

It's going to be 92...IN OLYMPIA! (Apologies to Courtney Love).

Bless you and all your neighbors. I hope the damage isn't too severe.

Hang in there. Maybe we can all pitch in and send $$ for a tiny boat? LOL glad to hear you're ok.

Thank-you for your kind comments, all!

The water is receding today. It didn't reach most main floors, but I think every basement in town is filled. We're still not supposed to go back to town. Most roads and highways are closed, but a few thoroughfares are opening up.

Sending a light to you and yours, Willow! And those kitties that you took in. May Mother Earth hold you lightly in the palm of her hand! (Unless she's also holding a deluge of water in that hand. In which case, may Mother Earth watch what she's doing for pete's sake.) Warm and sunny blessings to all!

Greetings from East Central, north of the worst of it. We've been wet since early June, but at worst there are wet (not flooded) basements where I live & some crop damage.
Hope life is getting back to normal for you & all others affected.
The return of the sun is so welcome. We look forward to your return to your blog soon. All the best.

Oh my!! I have thought of the folk in the east as they live through the crazy weather and then of course as you know there is another storm on the way. I am glad to hear that you are okay and I pray for your computer and all your household and dry shelter for all the animals around.
I look forward to becoming a patron-I love your work. I am unable to do this now but August has a scheduled pot of gold and I plan to get that status as a patron.

Glad you survived the flood, Willow.

BTW, I actually love the Johnny Cash song reference in the title, but I'm sorry it came true in your village!

Olympia, WA is blessed with beautiful weather so far this July. I'm staying safe (if borderline sane), far away from fireworks and 'freedom' fairs today.

Hope your basement flooding didn't sink any of your treasures. I don't know your Ascendant, but for my Sag rising I have been warned of water damage with my Pisces 4th house. Hope my neighbors don't create a water hazard this weekend!

My best, from Olympia!
Greg

Hope you are back home again by now, Willow. I do love your musical reference, one of my favorite Johnny Cash songs, actually. Not funny if you're in the path of the flood, of course.

Hope July brings you a great sunny bounty, Willow. Jupiter is looking good, and Mars is finally leaving Libra.

Take care, Anarchic Astro-Reporter Gurl. You are loved by many!

Thank-you Greg F. You are so sweet.

(And thank-you Singing Sparrow, previously! No computer damage and kitties are back in their house - though their owner is not. He is in the garage next door, which luckily kept power. Will have to visit the kitties and the garden soon tonight. Some of the garden has survived, unless it gets hailed or something. Or reflooded. Really hope not! Some people would crack if it flooded again.)

I am not home yet, but I'm on a farm nearby. I can get into town to work by borrowing a vehicle. My own car wouldn't have made it. My apartment is on the second floor, so I kept my power. The highway is just now clearing of water. There are two temporary bridges up around here, one lane.

Thanks for the update. Glad you are OK Willow! Hope the clean up goes well and that there isn't too much damage. Stay safe and well. Good thoughts going to you and yours.

Yes, so happy to hear you are fine. I've been thinking of you since we first got the news out here in the east.
Prayers the worst really is over. Some heartbreaking stories on CBC - a sweet farmer crying for his suffering sheep - awful. Also heard details of problems with current agricultural practices meeting climate change. May wise heads prevail in coming days.
Miss ya!

Thanks, Sabina.

I personally think it's intentional geo-engineering, so that is a mite more tricky to deal with!
