Triple Eclipse Seasons Past, Present, Future

We're about to experience the third in a series of three eclipses, a New Moon solar eclipse at 9 degrees Cancer July 1. From a previous post:

"Eclipses usually produce a between-spaces, unglued energy, resulting in big emotional back-drop changes and sometimes involving shattering events. The timing of global socio-political events is often tied to these points. Eclipses happen every six or so months and are basically New and Full Moons that involve a more exact alignment than usual of the Sun, Earth and Moon and are considered more potent than standard New and Full Moons because of it."

A triple eclipse season happens when that alignment stays extra precise for three eclipses in a row instead of two - as we are experiencing now. June 1 marked a New Moon solar eclipse in Gemini, June 15 marked the Full Moon lunar eclipse in Sagittarius, and we are about to experience the New Moon Cancer eclipse within Cardinal Grand Cross formation on July 1. That's a big one.

The last triple eclipse season we experienced was in July/August 2009 and the next one will be April/May 2013. A triple eclipse is not highly rare, but we can go quite a stretch without having one. We can also have two sets in one year (1951, 1935, 1933, 1915). For all the uber astro geeks out there like moi, here are the dates, signs and degrees of other triple eclipses past, present and future:

I'm actually looking forward to this one on July 1st as it's in my 10th conjunct the MC and trine my Sun. What a 'coincidence' that I'm am looking for another writing contract,LOL!

The Sun square Uranus and this eclipse are definitely stirring up some feisty energies in the collective. Kicking up personal rebellion against any outside 'authority' - including others who think they have the right to control our lives, whether from individuals or corporate sources. (Now I admit that my natal Sun square Uranus feels right at home in this energy, LOL!) Rebellion at this time is purposeful however, as it's motivated by the cardinal energies and yet grounded by the earth trine from Jupiter. So, choosing new directions and making plans (cardinal), but prepared to go with the unexpected (Uranus).

I see these summer eclipses as initiating a very wild ride through uncontrollable outer circumstances whose deeper consequences (Pluto) won't emerge until November/December this year, and into January 2012.

Don't you just love change?

Hi, Willow! I love your honesty. I know this is off-topic, but are you going to comment on the James Arthur Ray court decision? I would really love to hear your take on it. I, myself, feel a bit "cringe-y" around New Age b.s.

A former roommate of mine was addicted to Oprah (sooo glad she's off the air) and The Secret and all this other garbage, so I gloated with glee when I heard the verdict!

Awaiting your comment, xoxo annie lu

Hi, annie...

Yes, I'm happy about the verdict, too. I didn't hear about it until your comment, so thanks for the tip! I will possibly write about it after the sentencing/announcement of the appeal.
