How High's the Water, Mama?

Flooding 2014
Photos: Willow

She said it's three feet high and rising...

After a deluge of rain in my local area (8 - 9 inches in some areas over the past two days), my village has been evacuated due to flooding, and I will be away from my computer for a few days.

I will return emails and schedule readings and lessons as soon as possible. I'm not sure if we will have power over the next couple days or not.

There haven't been any injuries or deaths in this area - just a lot of property damage, roads and bridges, gardens and crops washed out.

It wouldn't be the last cardinal Grand Cross summer of the Uranus-Pluto square series without something dramatic going on!

The Grand Water Trine is true to form in this area.

Thanks for your patience.

A Fortunate Fixed Star Portal Opens, But For a Limited Time Only

July is an astrologically action-packed month, a month when some of the progress we’ve been working oh-so-hard to achieve suddenly starts to unfold, as if by magic. Delays and frustrated efforts start to ease. The bodies in the zodiac agree – it’s time for a change.

As we move through the month, we can expect fresh energy and themes to emerge on multiple fronts as we tip, tip, tip those Libra scales into new, Mars-led territory, particularly socially and in relationships.

Mars completes its almost eight-month transit of Libra this month (July 25), blazing a new trail for us through relationships and social relations. We don’t have to play the same old games in the same old ways. Remember that. Mars in Libra is driving us into a new social balance, a new definition of “fair,” and a new set of goals for relationships and our overall social scenes to be achieved over the next two years.

Summer Solstice, Chiron Stations Retrograde in Pisces, and Starfish As Coal Mine Canaries

Chiron (wound, sickness, healing) stations retrograde at 17 degrees Pisces (oceans, spirit, connection of all life) on June 20 just as we mark summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, and the symptoms of a very sick and very irradiated Pacific Ocean continue to stack up.

Oyster and mackerel stocks are the latest to collapse along the California coast, but this is just the most recent news in a slew of illness, death, and mass collapse of marine life all along the West Coast of Canada and the United States.

From a previous post:

"Sea stars are dissolving into goo all along the West Coast of Canada and the United States. Seals have been showing up with open sores, hair loss, lethargy, crumbling livers, and enlarged hearts since the summer of 2011. Fish and kelp have tested positive for radioactive isotopes from Fukushima since early on. Eight times the usual number of dolphins are washing up dead along the East Coast of the U.S. Sea lions are showing up sick, convulsing. There are mass fish kills going on all over the world. Sardines are disappearing along the West Coast. Pelicans, which feed on sardines, have been starving since 2011. Toxic algae blooms are showing up, indicating a pH imbalance in the water. Manatees are dying en masse around Florida. Abalones and sea urchins are dying off the coast of California. West Coast owls have been dying of acute hemorrhaging since winter 2011. Dead sea creatures litter 98% of the ocean floor along the California coastline. Previously, 1% of the ocean floor was covered, and the increase began in 2011.

There is no doubt among reasonable and informed people that the nuclear disaster and contamination - on top of all the other radioactive contamination and other ocean contaminants - are killing life in the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Ocean ecosystem is collapsing, with nuclear contamination from Fukushima acting as the tipping point.

But all you will see in mainstream media are "baffled," "perplexed," and "stumped" scientists and academics, spouting nonsense about "mystery illnesses" and "mystery diseases" affecting the animals."

The marine life deaths are being blamed on everything from El Nino to global warming to mystery illnesses. Not once is the radioactivity from Fukushima raised as an issue, unless it is to downplay it or to eliminate it as a possibility.

Starfish (also known as sea stars) are on the verge of extinction along the West Coast of Canada and the United States. Their bodies are dissolving into goo en masse. This species is experiencing one of the more dramatic and visible collapses, and we have to ask why that is.

This data, posted to enenews.com, comes from test results from an island in Alaska that was measuring residual atomic bomb test radiation. It shows that horse mussels bio-accumulate radioactivity at a much higher rate than other species of marine life. Horse mussels are a primary food source for starfish.

This is the type of data and research you will not find from mainstream media sources, probably not even from alternative media sources. This is the type of research you find only from independent, researching human beings doing the right thing and sharing information.

Chiron is now stationing retrograde at 17 degrees Pisces exactly trine Saturn retrograde in Scorpio. This potent Saturn-Chiron trine will be strongly in effect throughout July and August, with a final exact trine occurring August 5...

A Brand New Edition of...Cunts in the Comments Section!

I woke up this morning to a brand, spanking new candidate for "Cunts in the Comments Section." Joyous day.

Yesterday, I wrote about the first Fukushima-irradiated sailor from the U.S. Navy dying from cancer.

Today, I wake up to this gem from some random internet idiot:

"Sick... write more astrology stuff... thats your forte...

Like What does 29,29,29 Mercury in Cancer in the 8th house bode for one? AS a fledging student what house should I focus on for a career!!! Love!!!"

I'll tell you what's sick. People with that attitude are sick.

It is exactly people like this that I don't want reading my site. People who as "fledgling students" feel they can soak up the astrology here for free and then leave shitty comments when I do an important sociopolitical post. People who dry hump astrology for their own obsessive, navel-gazing self-interest.

"Me, me, tell me more about meeeeeee!"

Yes, let me discontinue covering the most important and least covered story on the planet (Fukushima) to give you free analysis on your career.

Let me discontinue my focus on an issue that affects every living thing on this planet so that I can focus my full attention on you and your birth chart and your career path.

There are a few things I'd like to come across loud and clear here:

1. People who dry hump astrology for their own obsessive self-interest can go fuck themselves.

2. Astrology does not like it when people dry hump it for their own obsessive self-interest.

3. People who soak up professional astrology for free and give nothing in return but shitty, eroding comments can go fuck themselves.

4. Professional astrologers do not like people who soak up their professional astrology for free and then leave shitty, eroding comments.

5. If you want analysis on your own life or chart, pay for a fucking reading, you cheap, ridiculous cunt.

6. I do not do readings for cheap, ridiculous cunts, though, so please do not request one from me.

7. For people like this: please know that your birth chart is not NEARLY as fascinating to others as you suppose it is.

First Fukushima-Irradiated Sailor Dies

The first Fukushima-irradiated soldier from the USS Ronald Reagan, Theodore Holcomb, has died - of synovial sarcoma on April 26, 2014. He was the father of a 5-year-old girl.

The USS Ronald Reagan was employed in a rescue mission immediately following the earthquake, tsunami, and meltdowns at the Daiichi nuclear reactors at Fukushima, Japan in March 2011. They were sailed right into the situation, were never given protective equipment or verbal warnings, and were exposed to massive levels of radioactivity. The sailors drank and bathed in contaminated water and sat under contaminated snow for two days as they were fried with radiation.

You have to ask yourself, how is that even possible? How did a U.S. naval ship with radioactivity-detecting equipment allow such a travesty to occur?

Now, more than 80 sick and dying sailors have joined a class action lawsuit against the Tokyo Electric Power Company. They should also be suing the U.S. Navy.

Thyroid problems, loss of limb use, leukemia, testicular cancer, and unremitting gynecological bleeding are just some of the radiation-related illnesses sailors from the USS Ronald Reagan are now suffering.

Immediately following the initial disaster, the USS Ronald Reagan sailed around for weeks, too radioactive to be accepted at multiple ports.

But inexplicably in August 2013, a San Diego Chargers NFL play camp put on for the children of U.S. Navy sailors was allowed onboard the USS Ronald Reagan, despite the fact that it is radioactively contaminated.

You can't make this stuff up.

Mercury Retrogrades As Mars Makes its Final Pass Through the Cardinal Gauntlet

Communication planet Mercury is slowing to station retrograde in early Cancer on June 7 (5:56 a.m. CST). The retrograde period will last until July 1 (6:50 a.m.). As the communication planet slows to a crawl, we can expect the information flow to slow down, as well. Continuing full speed ahead on mental/verbal/communicative fronts now could cause us to trip ourselves up.

We're wrapping our minds around some shifting circumstances now as Mars in Libra moves into a square to Pluto (June 14) and an opposition to Uranus (June 25). This is the final set of aspects Mars in Libra makes activating the cardinal points it has been setting off since December 2013.

Events occurring this June have roots to the cold, cold, "polar vortex" winter of 2013, particularly around the time of the holidays. Social frameworks have been shifting in immediate and substantial ways since then, and this is the final Mars push into new territory and new social order. Big changes start to be visible and new orientations in relationships come into working practise as we move through June and July.

It's officially time to move on from certain people, scenarios, and social dynamics that have proven disappointing. Mars direct in Libra, heading through the last pass of the cardinal gauntlet, helps us go beyond rigid social forms and expectations, moving out of stifling or unsatisfying relationship dynamics - but only if we have the courage to make the necessary moves at the right times.

Until Mars leaves Libra for its domicile of Scorpio on July 25, we are working with the concept of social balance. Social and relational moves made now should not unbalance us or others around us - unless we are throwing people off balance as part of a necessary defense or re-direction strategy.

We sense things are a little tense, a little raw, a little unpredictable, and a little highly-strung this month, and this can cause some mental anxiety and stress with Mercury slowing to a crawl in sensitive, protective Cancer.

Cancer is a sign that, for the most part, likes things to stay the same. So we are working through some tendencies to looking at the past as the answer to our current struggles. Nostalgia for what we perceive were better times. Though we can certainly draw on elements of past and roots in successful ways now (with luck planet Jupiter finishing its exalted transit of Cancer), there were, ultimately, no better times way back when. We are always moving forward for a reason. The best time is now, in the current moment, in the only moment that exists. We have to remind ourselves of this as we choose a new and fresher track through current circumstances. There's no going back now.

We are breaking some mental habits here related to excessive nostalgia, insular thinking, emotionally-clouded logic, and a mindset that does not extend further than the immediate family and friend circle.

There is a lot of uncertainty afoot - at times, not knowing what's going to happen next is the only constant. Again, this is hard with transiting Mercury in Cancer, a placement that likes to know where it stands.

Love, money, and relationship planet Venus in Taurus is also moving into a potentially tense opposition to Saturn Rx in Scorpio, exact June 12 (10:09 p.m.). This opposition spins a lot of relationship detritus off, tightening things up there considerably. We're going soul-deep as far as personal values, determining who we're compatible with when the chips are down and who we are not, who can be counted on and trusted when the chips are down and who cannot. There is not much in-between at the moment. If we aren't receiving full value, particularly social value, for what we do, it may be time to move on from certain scenarios.

This Venus-Saturn opposition indicates some hard-won emotional breakthrough moments, particularly related to subtle mistreatment or devaluing received socially or in relationships.

Finances are tighter than tight for many as we move into this Venus-Saturn opposition, and we may be tempted to accept less than we deserve or to make the wrong moves in an attempt to alleviate the pressure. Things come to a head on this front around June 12, as the Moon grows full in Sagittarius.

People will be getting under each other's skins this month in particularly karmic and catalytic ways. There is a little social wiggle room here, but be sure to heed points of anger and intolerance in yourself and others as they rear their heads. A little space goes a long way, as does a little bit of crafty avoidance.

Mercury will re-enter Gemini, a sign it rules, on June 17, and things start to rev up on the "buzzing social bee" front.

Mercury in Gemini will then move into a trine to the North Node in late Libra as it makes its direct station July 1. Some major social and relationship progress is underway at the end of June and during the first three weeks of July.

We don't have all the answers now as far as what happens from here or whom it happens with, but things will be getting more settled on that front as Mercury moves out of its retrograde shadow and into new territory by the middle of July.
