Uranus in Aries and the Spiritual Supernova Point: Busting Out of the Structures that Will No Longer Contain Us

As I wrote in the previous post, I realize my critiques of New Age ideology and those promoting it will seem acerbic to some people - especially to anyone who isn't aware of the energies I (we) work with on a daily basis. So I want to extrapolate a little here to explain why I've worked long and hard on this particular issue and will continue to as long as is necessary.

For me, it's a matter of extricating human beings from an energy overlay of spiritual control and manipulation that basically steals from them and from the planet. When you get right down to the root of what this movement is and how the overlay works on an individual's energetic being, it's very, very serious. To me, anyway.

I see people, every day, feeding their precious energy, talents and awareness into a top-down agenda that does not have their best interests or the best interests of humanity as a whole at heart. I see them promoting a system of spiritual hierarchy where, instead of directly tapping their own God connection and their own spiritual potency and thinking for themselves, people are trained to look to New Age middlemen (and women), supposedly higher up on the manufactured enlightenment ladder, to do it for them.

People are trained, I would say energetically coerced, to come to the same ideological conclusions, to repeat the same concepts taught to them by these middlemen and women, stunting the development and application of their own very nuanced and rich spiritual diversity.

I've seen it again and again, and it doesn't matter how many people I listen to or talk to. The New Age always circles around to the same end points and trains its followers to feed their energy into the same ends.

Even the most thorny of practical problems on planet Earth are responded to with the same bland, ineffectual idioms. Trained as members of a pseudo-spiritual army, fully embedded with New Age memes and ready to spread and implant the energy at a moment's notice.

And you know what? I love humanity more than that. I love people more than to let them go down like that. I believe in the raw, diverse individuality and spirituality of human beings more fully than that.

Most of the people held as spiritually wise - those who would be called "ascended masters" in New Age circles - reinforced the idea of the potency of the here and now, physical moment. Being exactly who you are, exactly where you are, digging in to the issues and problems we're faced with as humans on this planet. Gaining as full an awareness of the reality around us as we can and then finding the right action in the right moment...and taking it.

But with New Age, there is often an escapist element involved that keeps people from fully investing in what is going on on the planet and in their own lives, day-to-day. As long as people are turning their attention and energy to "ascending" out of our problems: to the 5th dimension, to a New Earth, to a new galaxy, to wherever, they are not fully focused on and committed to where they are at that moment. As long as they're looking to a supposed guru, an "ascended master," a UFO or an alien life force to tell them what to do and save the day, they're abnegating their own responsibility.

We're in critical times, friends. The current moment matters. We have the ability to change things for the better, but only if we're willing to hold position, focused into the moment, primed to take the actions that are required of us. Only if we're willing to apply our full, nuanced, individual consciousness, our full gorgeous beings to the tasks at hand. And only if we're truly right with God, with our personal relationship with God, creator, source.

We get one Earth. This Earth. And New Age ideology and energetic entrainment are keeping people from fully understanding that and investing in what goes on here, day-to-day, in the moment.

It is also keeping people artificially separated from each other along pseudo-enlightenment levels. With New Age, if you've self-declared as "aware" or "conscious" or "enlightened," you've supposedly got a leg up on the common folk. This is another way to keep people from fully understanding and being effective within the situation on the planet. If you're not aware of what is going on in the lives, hearts, souls of your fellow human beings, even the supposed "unenlightened clods," you're missing crucial information and connection points.

Setting yourself up as spiritually beyond other people is just silly, really. I've never been too sure who decides who gets the top rungs on the enlightenment ladder, but I must say, I'm not impressed by the currently chosen candidates. I've also never quite figured out how spiritual superiourity is determined by how many seminars you've been to, whether you've visited Sedona, Arizona or what New Age gurus you ascribe to. I'm not sure how the ability to quote Deepak Chopra or Eckhart Tolle verbatim is considered more enlightened that being able to gut and restore a 1950s Ford truck, for example. Why is knowing the chakra system considered more enlightened that knowing how to bake bread from scratch or how to shoe a horse?

Spirituality, consciousness, soul - these are not things outside us. They are us. They're inherent in every natural born human being on this planet. And the idea that you have a superiour spirituality or consciousness or soul - well, that sounds a little like the Spiritual Aryan Nation to me, doesn't it?

Every human being has his or her own spirituality. Spirituality is everyday life. The spirituality and spiritual concepts that run through the blood of every human being have been externalized by the New Age movement and forced into a hierarchical structure that is not true. People have been taught that they need their spirituality, their God connection, reflected back to them through these externalizations. Also not true.

In order to get to a true egalitarian Aquarian paradigm, we have to be willing to break and go beyond the moulds that will no longer sustain our development as individuals and as groups. We have to claw right down into the meat of ourselves - to the raw and authentic soul stuff. Our cores. And we have to be willing to fight our way forward, through all the forms of programmed identities and desires we've been sold up to this point. These programmed identities and desires are not us.

And does it hurt to be human? Damn right it does. It burns and aches and wears you down with its relentlessness. Does it hurt to be aware of the destruction going on on this planet and the pain being brought down on the living things? Damn right it does. But that's the reality we're living in right now. We're here together. And that's human. That's real. It's at this point that we can connect with each other as human beings in deeply loving, authentic and heartfelt ways. Don't let anyone dilute that without your consent.

(I feel as if I'm about to snap into a scene from Fight Club here. "Right here! This is your pain. Right here! Don't deal with it like those dead people do!")

Does it take courage to stay aware and to keep going in the face of it all? Sure does. Uranus in Aries conjunct Jupiter in Aries courage. Huge. It takes everything we have. But that's what this situation needs - everything we have. There are no do-overs. Life has gotten weirder than we ever could have imagined, hasn't it?

And it's hard because we're aware of the fact that we might not succeed in heading off the mass destruction that is being brought down right now. But the only real failure is to look away, to not even try, to shirk the responsibilities we have to ourselves, to each other, to our home planet. We all deserve better than that.

And we deserve better than this - what's happening on our planet, to us. That's the truth. But we are where we are, and we're here together. And for that, I'm really glad.

We never know how much time we have together, but when a catastrophe happens, it drives that point home with ferocity. Every day really does count, and this is why I will continue to do what I can to bring about the full spiritual supernova indicated by Uranus in Aries. Busting out of the artifical structures that have attempted to contain humanity and the human spirit. We're way bigger than that, and I think Jupiter in Aries is going to show us just how big.
